So, I havent had any methadone since last wed, and that day was only 10 mg, prior to that, the previous week, I was tapering down, most days I took about 30 mgs total. I have been discharged from my pain doc, so I wont be getting the methadone refilled anymore. Ive been very scared and pissed off about this, and I have been getting heroin the past 2 days.
My idea was to try and trick my body, (sort of), and the times when the methadone w/d would be very bad, I would just use enough H to keep me from getting sick, and my thinking was/is, my body would go thru methadone w/ds, but I would counter that by using small amounts of heroin.
I know this doesnt sound like a good idea, but I have bills coming up and have to go to work, and I have tried and tried to work during full methadone w/ds and it NEVER works out, I tell myself Im going to tough it out and go to work at 8am, then 8am comes and Im getting out of bed, feeling awful, going thru sneezing fits, sweat dripping off me, unable to sleep more than 3 hours at once, etc. then I am trying to think of ways of getting out of work that day, AND ways I can justify spending more money on H!!
To be honest, Id rather go thru pure heroin w/ds versus methadone w/ds, but I dont think I can afford to keep buying H so often to accomplish this.
Not sure what to do...?? I did cop earlier today, and it will last me about 3 days, then I wont have any extra money until friday, so I will have couple days where I cant use anything, but still must go to work.
Does this idea sound doable, or should I just accept my opiate days are OVER?
