About 3 months ago I experimented with pure mdma (or so I thought it was). I had a great time but my fun was stopped the next day when I woke up in a state of complete depression. This caused me to panic because I didnt expect that at all so for the past three months I have been feeling depressed, high sense of derealization, feeling unreal along with suicidal thoughts, I have been taking omega 3 for a week now but I still smoke pot everyday, what can I do to bring myself back

Maybe mdma isn't the drug for you? Maybe smoking weed isn't for you?

You need to realize that chemically, there is a reason why you felt so shitty. It's all your body's reaction, and you have every reason to be happy.

Canabis is the most likely ongoing problem without a doubt. Its feasible the mdma tripped something long term but not likely.

It is often reported that people feel slightly depressed or a bit down during the 2-3 days after using mdma. But the various chemicals in your brain should have fixed themselves back up again within a week or so.

I would strongly urge you to speak with your doctor and be upfront and honest about all the deatils so he can make an informed decision.

The marijuana may seem to help, but keep in mind that depression accompanies marijuana comedowns and withdrawal (as well as insomnia, loss of appetite, agitation, and anhedonia).

Try to stay clean and examine yourself.

Drugs only exacerbate mood disorders and can complicate things further.

Yikes. Avoid MDMA in the future (duh) and consider cutting back your marijuana use. Omega-3's are a great idea, and you can also try adding tryptophan-rich foods to your diet or supplementing with 5-HTP. Vigorous exercise, sunlight and laughter are all proven to boost serotonin and mood as well.

If the problem persists or you have serious thoughts of suicide, seek medical help immediately. Your doctor can recommend things that will help if there is an underlying depressive disorder.

I don't feel SSRIs are a good medical solution for depression (save effex0r, which has horrible withdrawal symptoms). Sounds like the weed to me. One use of MDMA I highly doubt could trigger a long term depression like that. Exercise and try using straight l-tryptophan as a supplement. You can buy this at many vitamin shops now (in the US it was relegalised in 2002 and I feel it works better than 5-HTP although they're both 5-HT precursors, but that's mainly opinion from personal experience. I have no scientific evidence to back that up). I also found s-adenosylmethionine (SAM-E) helped with my mood considerably, but I always supplemented this with B6, folic acid, b12, and niacin. Good luck!
