Technical Problem Deleted blog entry showing up as deleted blog entry

In the My Blog section one of my deleted blogs is still listed, is that by design? Like a permenant un-delete feature, or is there something I can do to remove it from sight?

Hi there,

I see three entries, entitled: "Starting Over", "Dreams", "The Wounded".

I've just started a test blog under my name. As the author, when you delete a blog entry via inline moderation you are able to see part of the deleted entry - specifically, the title. This is because the system only 'soft deletes' (removes something from public view), rather than erasing it from the database.

I then logged out and logged back in under a second test account to check its public visibility.

The author can see the title of the deleted blog, but nobody else can, other than Blogs moderators, senior moderators and Administrators.

tambo is correct, you can only soft delete a blog entry. if you want to completely remove content, it is best to edit the blog before deleting it. deleted entries have a small trash can icon next to the tittle.

fwiw, the same thing occurs with deleted forum posts. they are still viewable to the mods of the forum and senior staff.

tambourine-man - Thanks for looking into this for me. As long as they are deleted from google when I delete them all I'm interested in because it'll be a trip to look back on old posts when I'm old or dead*

*they have internet access in heaven i have verified this.

animal_cookie - great advice about the edit as a means to delete, didn't occur to me.

I usually edit a post to something like ... there is a three character limit for forum posts. I am not sure if blogs has a character limit.
