dark meat or white meat?

so which part of the turky/chicken do you like the most?

I'm a fan of dark meat, i like the juice..mm like turky broth in my mouth. alltho everyone else in my family is a fan of white meat, which makes no sense.

how about you?
 
Dark meat by itself, but white meat if you're mixing it with soups, stews or Swiss Chalet dipping sauce.
 
This should be a poll!

My opinion differs. I cooked a 14 lb fresh bird yesterday. You dark meat fans should have come over. There were 4 of us for supper (more came later) and 3 were all about the white meat. My friend who is a fan of dark meat, though, got to take both drumsticks and loads of thigh meat home for leftovers that will last him a few days, probably about 5 lbs worth.

Not one bit of the turkey is going to waste. The dogs all got a Thanksgiving plate full of dark meat, they certainly enjoyed it. I just can't get into the gamey flavor of dark meat. I've cooked a few birds and the trick with cooking white meat is to tuck butter and sherry under the skin as it slowly roasts. It was moist and delicious.
 
lol my one cat fucking loves turkey, he'll eat white or dark meat too. He actually eats anything though.

white meat does not have to be dry at all, what are you guys eating?

Oh my gosh, turkey thigh is better than sex or drugs. I love a turkey thigh like nothing else. Except giblets. I love turkey liver and I could eat it every day. Hearts are pretty good. But turkey liver is my favorite food of all time. I only get it one a year too, so it's even more delicious. I would happily throw the whole turkey in the garbage after I took the thigh meat and the liver.


I haven't had duck since I was in Ireland but it was unbelievable. My husband thought it was unbelievable that I was eating it. I thought it was unbelievable that I could ORDER it off the menu, besides the fact that it tastes so good. Never had a guinea pig but I would try it if I ever saw it.

I'm a vegetarian, but if i was starving, I'd go with the moist, delicious, and slightly gamey dark meat.

Guinea pigs are not nearly as tasty as the peruvians make em out to be. I would take duck over guinea pig any day.

i am a vegetarian now, and the meat, white or black, shouldn't be murdered for you to eat.
