(answered) Custom Avatar: Please help

Hi,

I've attempted to upload a custom gif avatar from photobucket and I've also attempted to upload it from my PC. The avatar is loading but apparently as jpeg and not as gif as you can probably see.

Any help would be truly appreciated, a friend worked very hard on this avatar for me and I'd feel very disappointed if it didn't work.

I don't know either to be honest, I made sure the tag was gif.

^ Your best bet would be to find something that fits within that size format or can be easily scaled down.

Avatars have to be 50x50 pixels or less and 10kb or less. The file you're trying to upload is 128x128 pixels and more than 1400kb...

I Googled 'Gif resizer' and used some online tools for resizing and optimizing but couldn't get it down past that 10kb limit. You could use software to take out every second frame (out of 170 or so in that gif) as well as optimizing and resizing and see if that does it. I've done that in the past with avatars, not that I'm volunteering to do it for you :)
 
^^ Got it down to that for you which the site will accept. If you find it too small, feel free to replace it. :\

I could only get it down to 288kb using those online tools, keeping it at 50x50 pixel size.
 
thanks guys, I gave up and went and made another, but where can I get the new shrunken one?

I see that you have already set it up, much obliged, thank you verymuch, I like it!
 
If you do want a different one shrunk down just link to it here and I'll work on it for you.
