'CSI' co-star Gary Dourdan arrested for drugs

LOS ANGELES (AP) — "CSI" co-star Gary Dourdan was arrested Monday for possession of narcotics and dangerous drugs, police said. The 41-year-old actor was found asleep in his car by the Palm Springs Police Department, authorities said.

An officer saw Dourdan's car parked on the wrong side of the street with the interior light on and someone sleeping in the driver's seat at approximately 5:12 a.m. Monday, according to Palm Springs police Sgt. Mitch Spike.

The officer described Dourdan as disoriented and possibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The officer arrested Dourdan after locating suspected cocaine, heroin, Ecstacy, miscellaneous prescription drugs and paraphernalia. Dourdan was released on $5,000 bail at 10:30 a.m. Monday. A court date was not immediately scheduled.

Dourdan has played crime scene investigator Warrick Brown on CBS'"CSI" since 2000. Several celebrities were in town for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in nearby Indio, Calif. It was not immediately clear whether Dourdan attended the event.

Representatives for Dourdan did not immediately return phone calls Tuesday.

Also, I find it hard to believe that he had coke, heroin, ecstasy, and a bunch of prescription drugs on him. :|
 
^ amen! theirs no court date yet cause the dudes probably narking on other celebs who were in the area that night.

I'm from Philly, and while most of my peeps do seem to be a bit more on the up and up in regards to things like this, plenty of busts still happen in my circle.
 
If he was at the festival sounds like the cops stashed one of those amnesty cans in his car haha

pretty ironic is one of the few episodes i saw which happened to have him in it something happened where he got drunk or drugged and woke up with a dead girl in his car lol

he should be thankful the didnt find him with a body i guess
 
mmm... cocaine for breakfast, x for lunch, heroin for dinner and rx drugs as often as possible.

HOLLYWOOD - CSI star Gary Dourdan is "embarrassed" by his recent arrest for alleged drug possession.

The actor was apprehended by police after he was found asleep in his incorrectly parked car early on Monday morning in Palm Springs, California. Cops searched his vehicle before arresting him on suspicion of possessing heroin, cocaine, Ecstasy and prescription drugs.

Dourdan posted $5,000 bail and was released following the incident.

He tells People.com, "Obviously I am embarrassed to find myself in this situation, and I am profoundly grateful to everyone for their support. I have complete confidence in and respect for the justice system and will cooperate fully with any investigation."

On Saturday, an email from Dourdan to his pal Shaun Robinson was read out on her Access Hollywood show.

It read, "Obviously I certainly wish I hadn't been responsible for so many people getting to the festival's (California's Coachella festival) VIP area. And the after party, it ran me ragged, but I'm glad pulling over did prevent a DUI.

"I am blessed that the Sgt. realized that the luggage carrying whatever they found was not mine and that my tests have been coming back negative."

However, a spokesperson for the star insists the exchange was not intended for air: "This was a personal text to a friend taken completely out of context.
