Cross-reactivity in urine-based drug tests caused by BZP or TFMPP

I wasn't quite sure if this should go in the law section or this section but here it goes; I've read/heard of BZP and other piperazines (found in "legal" ecstasy pills and sometimes sold as ecstasy or in a pill with it) causing cross-reactivity on urine tests, meaning it could turn up false positives of something else.

Is this true? Also, how long with BZP and other piperazines remain in your system for detection through urine? I took a pill (knowing MDMA can show up in urine tests 3-5 days after use [my test I am worried about is 8 days away from when I took it]), being told it was ecstasy by the dealer (the guy all my friends get their stuff off of was out that night) and we all know for a fact (judging by the feeling) that it was not ecstasy and was probably piperazines or maybe a little speed (but I didn't feel "speedy"). Just wondering how long piperazines can be detected (or falsely detected as something else, mainly) in urine.

EDIT: I remembered that it's against the rules to discuss drug testing. Removed my answer.
