I take Norco 7.5/325 MG. I took 37.5MG worth of them and I usually just get nice and high. But I'm really sleepy and my eyes are being wierd. they are going blurry and like crossing together. and I'm really drowsy. its only been 35 minutes since I took them. Is this normal with Taking Opiates? I'm feeling really good right now and High but I'm just concerned about this side effect.

Completely normal. Your fighting the urge to nod out and thats why your having these effects. I suggest you just find a nice chair and nod for a bit and you should be happy with that.

Nothing to worry about, it sounds like you're experiencing the infamous "nod." Taking a higher dose than you're used to or even taking your normal dose while you're already tired will cause this. I dont usually get blurry vision but my eyes always go crossed right before I nod out.

EDIT: Oops, didnt see the guy above beat me to the first response. Cant believe it took me ten minutes to type a two line post. Damn you ADHD!!!:!

Lol yeah I'm really high. lol (: and I'm 16 so i can't ask my mom why im nodding off to my hydrocodone I get prescribed. lol. My tolerance used to be very high (60-70MG of hydro or oxy) i took a two week break and damn My tolerance went down fast. now i can take 30-40 MG and get high but I know it will sky rocket fast. I took 2MG Of Xanax with them to but I have every 4 hours bcuz of my anxiety. so i know it wasn't that. But I actually like this cross eyed/ blurry vision side effects and I'm nodding off pretty. good i also hate getting up and having to do shit when im high on opiates lol I just wanna lay down and enjoy the high. Thanks for the reply I was worried. lol

Xanax would have potentiated it quite a bit as well, on top of the tolerance drop.

Heh a good test to know if your really high is if you cant focus on anything with 2 eyes, have to keep one closed to see things straight.

Seeing as 90% of my reading is now done with 1 eye closed, I've been considering getting an Eye-Patch to wear whenever I'm reading simply for the lulz.

due to my pupils contracting/eyes blurring, when on Heroin I'd need to pretty much max out the text size of everything I was reading to ridiculously large sizes.
The Methadone maintenance I'm on now (when properly potentiated) results in needing to keep one eye closed, but the text size rarely needs to be increased too much larger than normal. Fortunately the nod is surprisingly still present as well, just not as powerful nor as frequent (which is more to my liking.)

Still, back in the day when I'd mess with Opiate Pills such as the OP is on, I can't ever recall experiencing any of the cross-eyed/blurry vision/nodding tendencies even when on an extremely high dose.
Such only seemed to occur when messing with the big boys at the top of the gateway.
Still, as has already been mentioned, this is quite a common effect of Opiates.
And to the OP, I'd highly recommend letting the Opiates take complete control at times, enter into the Nod and enjoy all the amazing amounts of blissful relaxation your Opiates have to offer.
