Hey yall. Not sure if you have seen my posts or not but I have tried just about everything for cravings in the past so I know how it goes. Cravings are through the roof and can’t sleep. My body hurts and I got no energy to do anything good for myself. Been using comfort meds for the last 2 weeks since I jumped off of 500mg Oxy daily, I’ve keen on MAT which worked but was hell getting off. I’ve don’t Iboga and Ibogaine which actually works for the cravings part but is a hell of a process. And these comfort meds have got to come to and end or there won’t be one (gabapentin, clonidine, diazepam, Clonazepam, hydroxazine, lunesta, ambien) you know the drill… anyways. I know just living healthy which I’m trying to do is good I just have no energy to do so. I may try Adderal since my doc gave me some for my lethargy but if yall have any advice please and all is welcome. I heard addy can be a slippery slope. Also think I’m having minor gabapentin/bzo withdrawal after these last two weeks

Yeah gabapentin if used too long can cause wd's.

Yea I think I’m having it. This morning super high BPM and BP, anxiety too, tryna come off all meds now I’m clean… but shiii all and every little bit of advice would be a godsend since my doc still wants me a bupe

Had to take 0/1 0.1mg clonidine
300mg gabapentin
50mg ketamine SL
One Hit of Live Resin Indica

Damn you sound like my homie. I needed that …

But pls don’t stop with the advice I don’t wanna relapse again. I think this could be helpful for a lot
Long range jogging is the only thing that effectively replaces opioids for me.

and there is clear science behind it... you need to reset your endogenous opioid pathways, the natural reward system.

GABAergic drugs will coddle you through the process but they do not help rewire your reward system.

Exercise is the perfect, and intended, method of opioid reward.

Running several miles or working out in the gym for several hours during opioid withdrawal is the last thing you want to do, but it fixes your brain 10x faster than not doing it. Such activity directly reduces opioid withdrawal symptoms, which is fairly unique as far as drug dependence goes... most can't be reduced unless through other drugs...

Its hard to argue against the above, even if you cannot run due to age or injury, just walking, or riding a stationary bike can do the trick!

Hey team im back.. with cravings. I’m wondering on the days that this happens what would be best to take. Kratom, Buprenorphine, or Poppy seed tea (i have no experience with PST). Ive been using ketamine and cannabis but sometimes it doesn’t cut it. I also have benzos but i am really trying to avoid physical dependence to anything! Trying is key word…

Not having any issues relating Opiod addiction. Problem was/ is Alcohol atm. Beat it, again and again.

But the substituded Benzos to prevent the sleeples nights, seem to effect my daytime pleasure and energy levels.
Which in itself a trigger to start drinking, I won t this time. But it often happened. My Mom irritating but a good neutral
observer noticed this mostly by taking long halflive ones. Think she is right.
And its a depressing feel so not really helpful feel seeing your situation.

I smuggle as beside illegal benzos i am prescribed uppers , though even these don t override that lack of ...
They do wake you up ! Wish i rememberd sobriety somewhat better ;)

Ide cannabis and dxm :D or shrooms..acid...stimulants are good too, but it can end by using ton of stims and suddenly, opioid on top of that or stim addiction on top of opioid addictions.

If you're searching for pain relief I suggest Red Bali. Now the question there lies in what supplier has real good Red Bali? Nobody should be jumping head first into any highly addictive substance but my personal opinion out of the three you suggested kratom is the least. I come to that conclusion based off the fact that I've never wanted to break my arms off from kratom withdrawl but have with other things.

Is therapy somethign you have access to or would be willing to try?

Obviously it's easier said than done, but trying to find the root cause of the cravings would be a better long term strategy than using that and the other. Talk therapy is limited but it could at least give you some more insight into what's behind all the cravings and desire to escape reality.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do and keep us posted.

What amount of dxm and what would the effects be? Same question for acid? Don’t wanna trip all day but i know LSD and shrooms can both be stimulating in micro doses… recently found i love dextroamphetamine and have always loved cannabis

I have tons of good strains from a good vendor, recently i have found that i dont get any psychological effects from red strains which is mainly the reason i take it, (for cravings). But yes i also use it for my nerve damage..

I have tried therapy in many forms for many years unfortunately. And thank you for the good luck we always can use that!

Dxm + cannabis can produce very, very potent entertaining psychedelic effects...It depends on your metabolism but for me it's more psychedelic than acid....it is more stimulanting at start, after some time it turn into sedating, dissociative state complimented by hallucinogenic-like mindset. Body high is like being drunk. When u add cannabis into dxm, u will experience mindtrip. Body high Is more sedating, your coordination will be impaired. After few hours u will be ready to sleep. It Is also good for pain and depression but as i mentioned, it Is potent psychedelic high. If u are anxious or feel dome kind of paranoia, Its bad idea to do this without having sedatives for calming down. It can be very introspecting or u can feel like if u are flying through space. I would suggest to watch movie or listen to music. Or do some art. Less cannabis = less sedation and low intensity of hallucinogenic-like effects...Dxm Is dosed depending on what exactly u would like to achieve, u should check it on psychonaut wikipedia. Effects are changing according to how much u use and how fast cyp2d6 metabolizer u are. Don't do this if u are on antidepressive medications which block cyp2d6 enzyme ( for example bupropion - wellbutrin). If u use ssri's like citalopram it won't affect metabolism but too much serotonine Is possible result. Some ssris are potent cyp2d6 inhibitors too. Check this before using dxm. If u experience nausea, just vomit...if u won't feel better a few minutes after vomiting, it can be sign of serotonine syndrome. In that case, use anticonvulsive sedatives (benzos, tizanidine...). Check this before u try dxm+weed combo pleas...it's very potent combination.

Super interesting going to do some research. I don’t love extremely hallucinogenic things on a regular basis but a good time and place I see this being helpful.

I’m struggling with abstinence :( or I should say failing
It might sound cliche, but have you looked into meditation or aerobic exercise? Those two are the only things that actively help me with cravings, other than just staying busy in general. They work wonders, but both take effort that a lot of people, including myself, can't always afford to put out. But they do work.

Or another thing I do is listen to AA/NA speakers. It often calms me down long enough for the cravings to pass, and they will pass-- usually after around an hour. I listen to these even if I'm not sober, you don't have to look at it like that. Just listening to them speak changes my thinking in the moment enough for me to stick to my convictions.

This guy is hilarious, even if you hate AA rhetoric, just give this guy a shot. It's funny.

Another thing that helps me a lot with cravings is LSD, but that's a whole different subject.

Yes I used to do breathwork and meditation but I’ve gotten tired of trying. I know there isn’t a magic bullet but in exhausted and I’m really having trouble with abstaining. Considering subs and NA
