Since I'm going to soon be prescribed ADHD medications, I need reference on costs; something I've never really thought about before since my parents usually covered that end of it. I'm insuranced by blue shield/blue cross and my psychologist recommended vyvanse, how much do you pay per month for your medications?

price discussion isnt allowed here and can vary a great deal between different pharmacies even in the same city. if Vyanase is name brand only its gonna cost a lot more than something that is generic. You should be able to call local pharmacies and ask what the cost is, and check with your health insurance to see if the drug is in their formulary.

Even prescription costs aren't allowed, I'm not asking street value or anything. But alright, I'm gonna see my doctor in a couple days about it

You should ask your local pharmacist or discuss it with your doctor.

Vyvanase is still under patent so you'll be restricted to buying brand-name only. Generic time released amphetamines (e.g. Adderall) will almost assuredly be cheaper. Given that vyvanase is a chemically time released version of amphetamine, it should work the same as normal XR amphetamine salts. The one thing to keep in mind is some people are susceptible to nocebo effects induced by switching between different brands of generics (e.g. if you get the attitude that only XYZ brand will work for you, and take ABC brand instead, some people claim to get wildly different effects even though the same amount of drug is being delivered). So whatever you choose, just stick to it and try not to substitute.
