cooking weed in oil.

i heard that you can get a shot glass with a little oil to cover the weed and you heat up the bottem of the shotglass with a lighter and then you can somehow drink/eat the liquid and the bud and it will be just like eating a brownie. any truth to this. if this is stupid forgive me im uber high
