Hey guys, I have a 'Magic Flight Launch Box' portable vaporizer and I was wondering If I could make an AC adapter for one of my Nickel-Metal Hydride rechargeable batteries; The Magic-Flight company is in the middle of beta testing almost exact same thing I was thinking, but a little more complicated with the addition of a voltage inverter. I think it would be easy to make; just cut up an AC adapter with the same voltage (100-240 volts, 60 hertz), and solder the ends to two brass caps. The problem is that you have to push the battery in to activate the vaporizer, so I need some input if you guys could help out. pretty pleaassee with hashcookies on top =D!

thank you, all advice is appreciated.

I don't have that much help to offer except suggesting you checkout NiZn batteries as an alternative to NiMH.

Nickel-zinc has become feasible within the last couple years. It used to be nickel-zinc wore out much faster than NiMH but it is no longer the case. NiZn has an advantage for many purposes in that it gives off higher voltage/amps more like alkaline non-rechargeable batteries.

I've probably bought my last NiMH as for most products NiZn are better.
