Hi there, Im new to this forum and need your help!!

I purchased an eztest from the internet about 3 months ago, It has been stored in a dark, cool cupboard, could not store it in fridge due to certain circumstances. It was opened for the first time last night to use for testing. I scraped a small amount of my pill onto a clean white ceramic plate and dropped some marquis onto it, the liquid that came out was a dirty brown colour......Is this normal? It then started to change a black colour, but was unsure if this was a true reflection as the liquid started off brown!

I then carried on testing with a second scraping of the pill with the simons liquid, this was clear in colour as well as the buffer liquid! This turned a bright blue/purple colour indicating a secondary amine!!?? (mdma/mda?!!)

Lastly I used the Robodope liquid, this liquid came out a pinky salmon colour so wasnt sure if that was normal either!!??? Once the buffer was put on top i got a clear looking coloured puddle.....really confussed as I know that no reaction is good, but if the Robodope was a salmon colour to start with then it makes the outcome confussing!!
Sorry to ramble on but just really want to know if my test kit is contaminated!!:(

The amine tests sound as though the reagents are ok. The Marquis, if brown in color is off. This is a problem with shipping long distances. If the reagent is exposed to temps >30*C for an extended length of time, polymerisation of the formalin will occur.
