Constant Background DMT Aroma

hey my mellow fellows, basically last saturday (last week)
me and 2 fellow mind explorers smoked some dmt at sunrise.

im not sure which dmt compound it was,
all i know is it had the sharp, overpowering, hated-by-many, loved-by-few taste and smell of dmt (in general).

the bong i used to consume it has remained unused until it is completely cleaned.

the room we smoked it in reeked of it for 2 days.

now im back home, and ive been using a different bong for my herb,
but often i still have a faint background aroma of dmt in my nostrils.
its not in my room or clothes, and ive bathed since.

i was wondering what could be behind this and how long it will last, if either are known?
any info is appreciated.

thanks-

Probably not too long, the smell's caused by impurities (I personally enjoy how it smells as every time I sniff that scent it reminds me of tripping on it).

The aroma can stick around in your nose for a little though, I had it for a few days last time i smoked some improperly cleaned crystals. It can make stuff that smells sorta similar to it smell exactly like it, if that makes sense. But yeah give it 3-4 days and you'll notice those effects fade. You can lookup online how to further purify DMT so it has less of that odour.

thanks for the swift reply.

the DMT was bought from a third party, a friend/acquaintance of ours.
upon further reading it seems that we should have vape'd it instead of smoking it.

(didnt hit us hard, perhaps woulda hit better if vaped)
apparently smoking instead of vaping destroys is and causes the nastier smell.

i dont have anything in my environment that smells similar, but i was thinking it could be scent particles stuck to my mucus membranes/nasal passage?
