Considering trying meth

I have done most all of the common street drugs like weed,LSD,coke, snorted heroin,MDMA etc.....I am 35 and for some reason I never tried meth. I am really curious about it and would like to try it I believe. Probably smoke it. My drug of choice at the moment are norcos...Any feedback?

Meth is a pretty addictive drug, I have seen it fuck a LOT of people up, with that said I also know people who use it responsibly. You should be aware that a lot of people find it more addictive than cocaine, I wouldn't say it's more addictive than say heroin, but I think due to the different nature of the addiction meth tends to grab people a bit quicker, it is a very instantly gratifying sort of drug that hits your reward pathways incredibly hard.

I would recommend snorting it over smoking it, smoking it is really addictive, I know people who IV the drug who smoke just as much as they shoot because smoking it is that good.

I advise you to have some benzodiazepines on hand for the comedown and to help you sleep. Meth lasts a really long time, a first time user using enough to get a strong effect could easily be stuck awake for 36 hours from their last dose without any sleep aids. A lot of people say meth has a terrible comedown, I have always found as long as I make sure I stay hydrated and get enough sleep they are not too bad, especially with benzo's to help deal with it. The main problem with meth is to get a good recreational high going means that there can be a fairly lengthy period between when the high is euphoric or enjoyable and it wearing off completely, this generally results in the residual stimulation preventing you from sleeping, which can be extremely frustrating and unpleasant.

Make sure you eat a decent meal before you use it, for a lot of people eating on meth is pretty much impossible. Also make sure to stay hydrated. If you insist on using it to stay awake for several days (which is a really, really bad idea) then make sure you get some liquid nutrition like smoothies or meal replacement drinks into you over the course of your bender, to be honest since even if you are only going to use it once or twice over a 12-24 hour period it is ideal that you get some nutrition as well.

^ It isn't pleasant, particularly if they are of high purity. With that said, when using good quality gear you should not need much, I would advise you to start with 20-30mg and go from there. Given the doses are pretty small and the stuff lasts for ages, it isn't like you are doing line after line like with cocaine.

As much as bluelight and most other drug forums are against advising people not to take a particular substance, I would say that it would probably be best not to use it. I've lost a couple of friends to the stuff and believe me it was horrifying to witness. The thing with it is that it is highly physically addictive and nearly impossible to stop using it if you get addicted, it's much more addictive than coke, possibly even more addicting than crack/heroin. Once you are addicted, you keep smoking it and smoking it just staying up all the time which ultimately leads to insanity and sometimes even death due to acting out paranoid delusions or having hallucinations command you to do deranged, dangerous things. I've seen it happen to people so I'm not just talking bad about this stuff, just saying that it happens and it's worse than with most other drugs. Very little good seems to come of it's use, if any at all. If you do choose to use it, I suggest a low dose and only doing it once

I would really suggest not doing it. It seems to be the only drug that really just permanently F's up your brain.
You see coke addicts- hey they look almost normal and pretty high functioning . Oxy addicts/ mid level non needle H addicts- same, high functional, mental functions intact.
Meth? Turns you into a delusional, batshit crazy psycho. Even when you're not high, you look like a tweaker. A rode-hard-and-put-away-wet tweaker.
Aside from all that, it SEEMS anecdotally to be the most addictive out of all the drugs (apart from the ritual of needles). It pulls you in faster, and won't let go.
I would try almost anything but I have never, nor will I ever try meth.

I tried smoking, snorting, and swallowing high grade crystal methamphetamine for the first time a few weeks ago. I already had a relatively high stimulant tolerance from a few adderall and 90mg mdma but in my opinion it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Just a less jittery more euphoric version of dextroamphetamine really. Much more energy too and a stronger urge to redose but that's about all.

Thank you all for all of your input. Its mainly the curiosity of it.When I was a teenager I did have a Ritalin/efedrine habit. So I am worried about the aspect of becoming addicted.

There are not many functional meth addicts. It's kind of similar to crack in terms of addictiveness, but even worse

^ Just because functional meth addicts are less visible than the non functional ones does not mean they are in short supply, I agree methamphetamine is one of the most addictive and most dangerous drugs but it bothers me when I see these unsubstantiated generalizations being made which almost border onto propaganda.

There are very few people that methamphetamine use will benefit in the long term, even to those who don't get hooked or suffer significant health problems, they will have spent money they could have used on better things, put a strain on their cardiovascular system and there is a pretty good chance if they do it many times they will put some strain on their mental health too. There aren't that many upsides to using methamphetamine, other than the fact it is a damn good high, the main other one would be that for a lot of people it helps them be more productive.

In regards to whether or not to use methamphetamine, unless one has a medical reason for doing so, the best way to guarantee the best outcome for that person is to avoid the use of methamphetamine, however, you could say the same of most, if not all recreational drugs. The truth is the best way to avoid the harm of any drug is to not use it, but we all know how realistic that advice is or we would not be here telling people how to use drugs in the safest manner.

This opinion is an artifact of the government's recent propaganda focus on meth in our generation. All the same claims were made about cocaine and marijauna in the past. This is a drug approved to be prescribed to children 5 and over in the United States under the brand name Desoxyn.

It is actually on par with the modern cigarette in terms of the statistical likelihood of you getting addicted to it. Ever notice how virtually all former heroin addicts still smoke? It may be one of the most addictive drugs in existence when you smoke it but you must consider that in context.

Stimulants are just not for me personally. I fucked with high doses of the MPH and it's isomer d-mph in a day and had nasty side effects that made the drugs not worth doing. I'm talking stroke symptoms and mad palpitations with flashes and anxiety. Bruh, with stims come paranoia and you can easily think yourself out of the nice high and it's so easy to do. The urge to redose focalin was very strong, I can't imagine the urge to redose on meth. Concerta wasn't bad cuz it is xr. Cocaine has a moderate redose urge with alcohol for me. But I dont think meth is a worthwhile experiment for anyone. Because of the characteristics of a stimulant high where you feel like you can conquer life, you can easily find yourself hooked for that very reason. The tweak is heavy.

I really appreciate all of the input from all of you. I think that I have gone 35 years without doing so I think that incan live without trying it. I will just stick to my norcos and kratom.

You gotta realize that many people are different. Myself, I will do the drug for the rest of my life. Am I a functioning addict? Right now, yes. I haven't had meth since the 26th of last November. I tried it for the first time when I went on a vacation to Cambodia the July before that. It was pure madness too. After trying it the first time I binged for four months straight in a $7 a night room. I blew almost $7,000 and had the time of my life even though I didn't end up doing much more than look at porn on the internet.

After I ran out of money I had to have my grandmother bail me out with a ticket back to the States. Quitting was easy for me because I didn't know anyone who sells meth where my grandma lives. Even if I did I didn't have any money. I spent three and a half months at grandma's house before she baught me a ticket back to China where I am now. I'm teaching English and saving every penny I make for another holiday in Cambodia. This time I'll have way more money to spend when I get back))) It's all I can think about. Even though I'm a "functioning addict" now since I'm not using that doesn't mean I won't go totally of the deep end next time I do pick up the pipe. I might even end up dead.

Also, I see a lot of people on here giving all kinds of advice. Like I said each person is different. Some people might say that you should try and not stay up for too many days without sleep. Me, I've gotta stay up for at least 48 hours when I do meth or else the crash is hell. For me the crashes aren't bad at all if I've been up for lots of days. After about three days up if I wan't to crash I'll just stop indulging until I'm able to eat. Once I can eat I'll usually eat a HUGE meal and after that I won't be able to keep my eyes open. Then I'll lay down and sleep very comfortably for about twenty hours. It's really nice actually.

Also, I personally enjoy the crazy psychosis that comes after binging for days without sleep.

Think of drugs as a risk vs reward system.

So:

1. Weed
--A: Is trying weed likely to mess your life up? I guess it's possible but it's EXTREMELY unlikely.
--B: Is trying weed going to make your life better? Probably not, but it's possible.

Verdict: Almost certainly no harm in trying it. If you have pain or something that it can help with it's probably better than the alternatives. If you end up "addicted" somehow it's unlikely (not saying it's impossible, everything has some risk) to mess your life up permanently.

2. LSD
--A. Is trying LSD going to somehow mess your life up? Doubtful. And it's really, really, unlikely you could turn into some sort of LSD addict--it's probably impossible, or closer to impossible than becoming addicted to just about anything else in life (not drugs, I mean anything).
--B Is trying LSD going to make your life better? Possibly.
Verdict: worth doing it, just get the setting right

3. Meth
--A: Is trying meth going to mess your life up? While it might not be likely (as in >50% chance), it's certainly COMMON that it could.
--B: Is trying meth going to make your life any better? No. That's pretty much a flat out no, no chance. If you have real ADD go to a doctor and get the appropriate meds, otherwise, no way.
Verdict: Risk vs reward totally fails here. Why would you risk it?

We can use the same system for legal drugs.

1. Caffeine
--A: Is trying caffeine going to mess your life up? No.
--B: Is trying caffeine going to make your life better? Probably not, but maybe.

So, verdict: drinking your coffee is probably fine.

2. Cigarettes
--A: Is trying them going to mess your life up? Maybe--long term will probably cause big health issues.
--B: Is trying them going to make your life better? No (unless you work in an office and magically get more breaks as a smoker, I guess).

Verdict: no.

So no, don't try meth, there's simply no point. If you want to try more drugs, why not try more/different psychedelics in the right setting? Get some mushrooms or something. :P

Antipsychotics (typical or atypical) are a great addition to benzos for the comedown.
