Considering a first cycle: some questions

Hey BL

I'm contemplating doing a first cycle, hopefully somewhere around September 2013. Not anytime soon as you can see but I'd like to gather as much information as possible before I actually venture into the world of AAS.

weeks 1-12: 250mg test e twice a week on non-training days
weeks 14-18: 20mg nolvadex everyday

This is the most basic of cycles, am I right?

A few questions:

1) Is there anything I can do to improve this cycle dosage, duration or product-wise?
2) Is injecting on non-training days the right thing to do?
3) Some guy on another forum said it's best to take nolva before bed because then you'll have the peak at night when you sleep i.e. you'll feel fewer side effects. Should I believe this guy?
4) Should I consider HCG with this cycle?
5) Say for some reason I had to quit the cycle (personal problems, injury,...) after 6 weeks, should I still do PCT? And how should I go about it.
6) Should I do an AI from the start?

Sorry for all the questions. I hope you can understand me wanting to know as much as possible in advance.

What is your age, training experiance, body fat, weight and height like at present?

Yeah its a pretty basic cycle, its what I'm running now myself for the first time
1. The cycle to me seems fairly good as long as you are ready for it in terms of training, diet, body weight ect.. Perhaps more nolva for pct 40/40/20/20 and add clomid if you want. Though I havnt decided wether to use clomid myself or not I've got nolva for the time being.
2. Inject whenever you want, doesn't matter if your sitting on the toilet having a dump after running a marathon. Space it 4 days, 3 days, 4 days, 3 days. I do mine monday-friday whenever I feel like it. Don't forget the test needs to be absorbed by the muscle over the course of 48ish hours so it wouldn't make a difference anyway
3. Not too sure on this bro, never heard it before though.
4.Hcg should not be needed.
5. PCT is needed no matter how long your cycle lasts if you don't want depression, loss of gains ect... I think probably the same 14 days after last pin you should run pct as normal.
6. In my opinion, and only my opinion, I would say no. Because what is the point in lowering estrogen if it isn't causing any problems? Others may disagree on this though. I'm keeping my armidex for in case I start getting estro sides anyway but that's just me... Probly won't need for test only.

Thanks for your very useful reply, nolys. I will do some more research on the pct and ai, though.
I'll give you my stats. But before you jugde me: I realise that I'm nowhere near my natural limit and I'm not going to take aas anytime soon. Anyhow: 22yo, 5'8, 150lbs, don't know bf but I don't think it's more than 15%. I won't cycle until I'm at least 170lbs with a reasonable bf%.

Started training when I was 17, went from 120lbs to 160lbs in two years but then I went to college and fell back to about 135lbs. Now I've picked up traing and eating seriously again for about 3 months and went from 137lbs to 150lbs on about 2700kcal a day (which doesn't seem a lot, I know, but I'm already putting on more fat than I'd like).

Anyhow, can you tell me something about your cycle atm? How much have you gained so far?
Can you tell me something about the side effects? I know about the physical ones, but are there any psychological ones to it as well? I'm quite afraid that the roids will interfere with my peace of mind and sleep.
 
Oh, and another question: should I get my blood tested at the doc's beforehand? If so, what do I ask him to test for?

I just got my pre cycle blood work done. Here are the tests I had done:
cbc w/auto diff
comprehensive metabolic panel
lipid panel
total testosterone
lh
fsh
estradiol
 
hey milfhunter,

1) make sure your protein intake is up. a lot of people on steroids dont eat and end up just breaking out all over and not growing a pound.

2) yes you must stay consistent with your injections throughout the cycle, whether or not your training on that specific day

3) i too never heard this before.

4) you can but your cycle is very basic so you may get away without it. If you do decide to do it just know that HCG is only beneficial during your cycle to prevent ball shrinkage so that you recover in pct faster.

5) yes i would still do pct, run it for like a month or so if you bail at 6 weeks.

6) in short with your cycle... nehhh
