Hello all,

First post but LONG time lurker. I normally don't need to post as I just use the search feature, but with this one I'm not too sure.
Basically, I have access to both Adderall, Ritalin etc but its very expensive. I do however have access to reasonably priced Concerta. The stuff I can get is the 18mg, 'Prolonged release' variant. I want it soley for the use of studying. Will these help me with my studying? I know that certain people react different to all these stims, Concerta, Ritalin, Adderall, Dex etc but will these prolonged release be the best bet for me?
Im just a bit confused, IR surely would give it to me all at once and possibly make me over stimulated, would the ER variant that I can get be best, considering I just want to be focused on my work for a long period of time?
Anyway all advice would be appreciated

Concerta is the timed release of Ritalin. They both are the same substance : methylphenidate.
And yes, for productivity/concentration, timed release is your best bet. Its duration is 12 hours, so take it in the morning.
 
Yea I was aware that they are the same substance but was just after clarification of the IR over ER and what would be best for my situation.
But you've just confirmed what I wanted to hear.

Also, just out of interest, completely unrelated, but do you know why you cant login/access if your behind a proxy?

As long as it breaks down all the way before it get past your small intestines...I am not as familiar with adderall etc..
But if the formulation is the same as some ER analgesics, I personally had a problem with them not breaking down (releasing)
whatsoever.
 
Ah thanks Fire&Water, I see some people just handle them better then others. From my research I see some people prefer Adderall, and cant hack Ritalin, others vice versa. Just going to take me some time to see what works for me I guess.

And shreddedlettuce, yea. I tried earlier and it refused me access.

Edit: Just tried again via Tor and it seemed to work this time. Odd
 
Concerta works like ritalin. You can fish out the IR methylphenidate from the concerta wax coating but it's not even worth it. 1 or 2 18mg pills should have you studying up a storm.
