Ok so i have a bunch of concerta my friend gave me. How much does it take to overdose on it? I'm not going to do it, i just want to know exactly how much because my friend took like 16 in the last 3 days.

You have to be really careful with extended-release preparations like Concerta, because in an overdose situation, you're strapped in for the long haul.

2 36mg pills, 1 27mg one. and smoked a 36mg one, I am just wondering what the OD range for these concerta is? I know most drugs have a range, like MDMA and coke and DXM and stuff.

Well it's hard to specify a specific dose for a specific person. Everyone is different and of course tolerance comes into play. From a quick search of LD 50 of methylphenidate i came up with:

The toxic dose varies considerably due to individual variations and the development of tolerance. Fatalities have been reported following ingestion of doses as low as 1.3 mg/kg, while tolerance has been developed to 1,000 mg at a time and up to 5 g in a day.

Merck index indicates its 190mg/kg which is the ld50 for methylphenidate

I did find the 190mg/kg stated a couple times but there is conflicting data.

Then there's also the problem that he was using concerta(time released) and not IR methylphenidate. Maybe google some more on "LD 50 Methylphenidate" for more info.

Lastly in the sake of harm reduction, DO NOT SMOKE PILLS. Most of the time it is an inferior route of administration and extremely bad on the health. Especially concerta since it has those binders that are almost like plastic. If you or your friend is trying to get high of concerta then look towards a extraction. In my experience the closest I came to a high off those was a stimulation feeling or overkill stimulation with paranoia.

As a note though, that's too much concerta that he took in my opinion. Also don't smoke pills, as is mentioned above, it's stupid as hell. If you have to smoke concerta at least extract the methylphenidate from it, there's a thread on here about how to do it.

My friend exctracted the methylphenidate from it, so were good on that part, took him 3 hours because he was all tweeked out and paranoid though :/ but finally got it, and ya he was paranoid the entire time but i was ok
