Heroin Common to pass out after shooting Dope

Any frequent users care to comment?
Is this a major problem to worry about, like I'm borderline OD'ing?
To pass out for a short, short time right after injection. I feel fine 20 minutes later and don't feel endangered or anything. Just barely have a slight nod.

As people probably know I'm a big worrier and things like this I need an answer for. So basically does this happen to others? Etc.

I don't do dope that much lately, but I've shot up probably 70 times. This is the best shit I've had definitely, but its hard for me to measure it accurately. So just worried I'm getting too close to big trouble. Even though I feel fine after, even like I wished I'd done more.

Sorry should make it more clear. I passed out for 2 seconds right after the rush. Was just saying 20 minutes later I didn't even feel that fucked up. Not that I had passed out for 20 minutes. That I'd be worried about!

Your definetly doing to much. After shooting heroin I nod but I only passed out once when I did a fat shot of tar after a break. I was fine later but I passed out for atleast 20 minute's like you said. Your are borderline to od'ing. Just shoot less man it's very dangerous to pass out on opiate's.

I just passed out for like 2 seconds right when the rush came on. I didn't mean I was out for 20 minutes, although reading back I guess it might've seemed that way.
It was weird.
I don't really have a nod now or since I shot up. If I sit really, really still my eyes start to get heavy a little. Thats it though. I've definitely been way more fucked up on dope before than this.

Yea what ^ said. You shouldn't be passin out unless that's ur goal. It should be more of a controlled nod buddy. Damn, be careful man.

Although it can be hard to record the passing of time when you're nodding hard, you really want to make sure that you're not indeed passing fully out. If you pass out for even 10-30 seconds your brain can become deprived of oxygen and you can get instant brain damage.

It was more like everything went black for 2 seconds right after the rush came on. I wasn't nodding after.

Just weird because I did more yesterday, and was definitely more fucked up. But didn't have the same blackout. I rarely catch a nod and still haven't really, compared to yesterday where I actually got a decent nod after an hour.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Not nodding out, just sort of a quick blackout right after injection.

Yeah. You shouldn't be passing out. That's an OD. I've never seen a 2 second one, though.

Make sure you use around other people, who can call for help. Also, do a test shot/snort to figure out potency.

I'm just having a hard time figuring it out, why I blacked out this time. And never before, especially when yesterday I did the same dope at a substantially higher dose and was way more fucked up after.

I guess maybe it had to do with what I had to eat before or something.

I think most of us, if we're being honest, can say there's something enjoyable about doing a big, big shot, and slipping off for a few moments. But it's playing with fire/Russian Roulette/etc.
First off, unless you always shoot sitting down(which is a good thing to get in the habit of) you run the risk of losing consciousness and hitting the deck. I woke up on the floor once, got up and looked in the mirror and saw what appeared to be a softball beneath my eye/forehead.
Of course the big danger is ODing, and not realizing. Hard to save yourself if you're unconscious. Pretty much impossible, actually. Be careful. Fight that urge to do the monster shot, and keep yourself awake and safe. Happy shooting.

Thinking back I realized it was 100 degrees and I don't think I had drank anything this morning. Not to smart.

The shot that I blacked out from was 4$. Yesterday I shot about 9$ from the same batch and was happy. So something musta been up with my body before I took it. I did get really nervous right after it happened. I couldn't figure out as to why I was blacking out on a relatively small dose for me. Thanks for all the thoughts though.

You probably are dehydrated. Thats pretty hot, drink lots of water and lower your dose.

Use less, see if the problem still persists. If it doesn't, then you obviously know you're doing too much and flirting with the edge a little too much.


The one time I came very close to full on OD, I took a shot of some of the purest brown I've ever had, rushed so hard for 30 seconds, and then started drifting in and out and eventually blacked out with the needle still in my arm. You know what woke me up? My girlfriend(now ex unfortunately) who had NO Idea I used heroin, let alone shot up, walking in the room and screaming OH MY GOD!! I woke up completely oblivious and was stumbling. Fell over, smacked my head on the glass table. Got taken to the hospital that night. I knew my limit too, but this was a new connect(same area) who had a new stamp and said it was new shit and it was really hot. I thought nothing of it cuz every connect says there shit is fire so I expected it to be just like the rest of the dope from that section of town. Boy was I wrong and I almost paid the ultimate price for it.

I used again today. (With the AC on, and with plenty of water and other nutrients in my system)
Did a little more than that time I think. It was very close.
Was absolutely fine.
Think it was just being dehydrated. Also being the day before I had taken substantially more without any negative effects.

When I awoke from the blackout or whatever it was, I wasn't really fucked up bad.
Just a nice mellow high, not really nodding or anything. I was around some other people and they couldn't tell I had used any drugs. Just was freaking out a little thinking about what had happened. Thanks for the replies everyone.
