I have always wondered why when i am in opiate withdrawl the goosbumbs and waves/tingles i have feel fleel like the flu and or are terrible, and when i dose on DOC enough to be normal/very very slightly above normalcy, the tingles/goosebumps/waves are the reverse- they are not ''pleasurable" but feel good and relieving.

im assuming it is my body reaching its though homeostasis ie: addict, so ..........please if anybody has any input to this phenomenon your input would be nice

A lot of people describe withdrawal to be the opposite of being high (on opiates, not sure of your DOC). I get terrible goosebumps, hot/cold flashes, sweats, and just general "skin crawling" when I'm in withdrawal. It's like my skin is electrified and every touch is painful and awful and I just want to crawl out of my body. When I'm above baseline on opiates, I don't get any kind of "tingles" or goosebumps except the initial rush which just seems to travel through my body quickly. I just feel warm and itchy. What is the DOC you're referring to?

I take methadone...say If I skip a dose, and start to feel shitty before dosing again,It feels really good. I get small waves of warmth and a great glow, which reminds me of oral oxycodone. and its the exact opposite of how i felt earlier.

Using your DOC if you're in withdrawal is always going to make you feel better.. that's the point. Your body is sick because it wants the drug.. if you give it to it, the symptoms go away.. That's what psychical dependency is.. Not sure what the question is here.

I really don't get the opiate withdrawal I have been on and off of them since I was probably five years old with surgeries, broken arms etc. But to be honest when I stop taking them I don't have withdrawal when I am on them I wake up sweating freezing and diarrhea between doses. Then usually I go through three days of diarrhea and not feeling so hot but I am back to normal. To be honest after reading all the posts I'm scared because I have been taking them for longer than normal since I recently broke a lot of bones in my hand... And my doctor won't prescribe me anymore because he thinks I don't need them but I'm afraid of going through a longer withdrawlwhat do you think is going to happen I really would love to learn about it because I am scared ? I don't know if I'm posting in the right area so I apologize if I'm not but I'm curious to see if my withdrawal will be a lot longer since I have been taking them for a good 8 to 9 months.... Thx SG
