Comedown Room

What would I need to make a room for coming down from psychedelics or stimulants and chill out?

some form of music playin

perhaps a dimmer switch on the light

this thread may oer may not stay open, hopefully you can get others opinions but its really up to you with whatever makes you comfortable n relaxed

Have good book,

a tv (with remote),

a beer (notice I said "a", just one),

what the above poster said,

sugary food as well as healthy food,

sweet liquid as well as water,

PILLOWZ,

a furry animal that doesn't bite as a result of affection,

cards,

stuffed animals,

heavy freakin blankets,

colored pencils and blank paper,

action figures if you're into that,

a computer with mouse (preferably a lap-top),

green tea,

a chair,

a carpet,

meditation

Coming down from Psychadelics:
-Low lights.
-*Maybe* a benzo (in case of a bad trip or a speedy psychadelic like X)
-Cannabis (to ease you back: it is, afterall, an hallucinogen)
-A Cat (if you are a cat person) I find having a cat on my lap to be incredibly soothing, my feline buddy virtually killed a bad trip for me with his purring and soft, soft, soft fur. A dog may bark and bark and that could fuck with you.
-The proper music: Massive Attack, Portishead, Explosions in the Sky, Grateful Dead, some instrumental stuff.

Coming off stimulants:
-Heroin/Oxy/Opana/Vicodin (virtual comedown erasers. Turn the comedown into something to look forward to).
-Benzos (So you won't care how shitty you feel, if you don't have opiates).
-Marijuana (be careful with this one, I wouldn't take it w/o the opis or the benzis because w/o either of those two in your system you might juts increase your anxiety / heartrate.
-Somewhere you feel safe from paranoia.
-Fluids.

Also I have no idea what people are talking about when they say "acid comedown", the after-effects are my favorite part of the trip.

benzos, a SHITLOAD of weed, sweet snacks/beverages, visual/audio entertainment. i actually like a tiny, tiny dose of ketamine at the end of a psychedelic journey. maybe just 50 mg's or so... and i agree with Bigfan. the end of an acid trip is just another facet of the journey. i actually find it to be rather enjoyable. the craziness is over and i find it as a period to reflect on whats just happened to me.

Agreed, I just use the term for the sake of people knowing what Im taking about. I call it "riding out" the trip.
