Misc Cold concoction

ok so I came down with a pretty nasty cold, sore throat mostly from post nasal drip I think, my sinuses are completely fucked. I acquired some pseudoephedrine and diphenhydramine. Got me thinking to ask what everyone else takes when they are sick.

So what do you take?
Non drug remedies also welcome...

Pseudoephedrine or DayQuil for day, something with a strong antihistamine to knock me out at night
The real sudafed is behind the counter, but still OTC. Phenylepherine is useless

Ya definitely get the REAL sudafed, it actually works compared to the other BS...

Daytime- Pseudoephedrine, DXM, and gufenesin (sp? generic Mucinex) plus a little diphenhydramine if needed.
Night- Same thing except replace diphenhydramine with doxylamine.

Coffee always seems to help me too for some reason, even at night.

neocitran at night. add 3 mg melatonin to help you fall asleep quick

could also add 1-2 shots alcohol to speed up the process
