Hello folks.

Recently I've entered into an environment involving a rigid schedule with quite a bit of schooling throughout the day.

Since then I've been drinking a cup of strong coffee with every meal. I've even found myself looking forward desperately to that next cup, sometimes rushing through my meal to get to it.

I know many of us have similar caffiene habits, be it soda, coffee, or otherwise, and was just wondering what, if any, negative consequences you've experienced from this type of daily stimulant consumption.

I might add that I've been drug and alcohol free for the past 6 months, smoke cigarettes on a daily basis (recently started after a 3 year break) for social and stress reasons, and have recently started excercising.

So far I've had surprisingly few negative reactions, although I have been experiencing slight chest pains. I'm unsure whether these have been caused by smoking or caffiene, but I'm pretty damn sure that it's just muscle soreness from excercise coupled with an overly inquisitive and anxious mind.

So please share your coffee conundrums, contrivances, and anything else you might want to add!

Note:

This is not for discussing how much you enjoy coffee, we have a thread for that already in the lounge. ;)

They say coffee is full of anti-oxidants.

As far as the caffeine, everything in moderation I suppose.

i quit drinking coffee for lent. so far so good, i still think about drinking a cup or wasting $6 on a large cinnamon dolche frap at starbucs with the whipd cream and cinnamon drizzle, along with the vanilla and choclate powder on top.... damn i want coffee!!!

^what klue said.

There are recent studies that show coffee drinkers that were alcoholics were far less likely to develop cirrhosis of the liver.

Google it. It's quite interesting.
