Does anyone know if someone is allergic to codeine if they will also be allergic to Vicodin(hydrocodone)/OxyContin(oxycodone)? An old friend of mine called me up and was wondering if it would be safe for her to do Oxy's if she's allergic to codeine. I wasn't sure if there was any cross-over between the two.

She will more then likely have a problem with hydro/oxy if she is truely alergic to codeine, as both are so closely related to codeine..
