Hi all, I will be visiting Israel soon and I was hoping I'd be able to score some codeine (preferably without APAP/ibuprofen, but I take what I can get) without going to the Dr and all that. I've searched quite extensively (both on BL and google) to no avail :(
And yes Israel is in Asia if we're being geography sticklers, but whatever.

So, any one have any experience here? I am looking more for first hand knowledge than a strictly legal interpretation, as you technically cannot get codeine otc in Spain or Turkey, but...you can.

Anything that might shed some light would be appreciated!

Thanks.

I was there last year, I tried asking in pharmacies both in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, only got bad looks from the pharmacists and one "no sorry you need a doctor's note" from the one pharmacist in tel aviv that spoke english.

I asked for valium too, no luck.

Although it's in the middle east, it's regulated like a Western country.

Edit: By the way I was there for work and wore a suit/tie, was very presentable, didn't look like a needy junkie at all.

the whole thread violates the guidlines - you cant advise another poster on how to source codeine under any circumstances.

Welcome to bluelight Rockkinrollaa - please stick around but make sure you have a good read of the Bluelight User Agreement before making any further posts -please dont be offended or surprised if this gets closed as soon as a mod checks in.

Asking whether a substance is legally available in a certain country is O.K.

Answering with a simple "yes", "no" or "only with a prescription" is also O.K. -- if you actually know for sure. Speculation is not welcome.

What's not O.K. is naming specific outlets, or discussing methods of circumventing restrictions. There's also no real need to give background by saying where you are going or how soon. It's not really relevant and you don't want to be drawing attention to yourself anyway.

If in doubt, keep your trap shut.

Sorry Julie, I stand corrected, but ive had threads closed for providing the same sort of general information.

Im some fucking useless cunt me. Ive been on and off this site since 2005 and still find myself unable to support new posters. You might as well perma-ban me now as im obviously just a thick piece of shit who's misguiding potentially newmembers

Again, im genuinely sorry. I need to try and keep out of the forums way for a bit as bad advice is unexcuseable.

No, don't feel that way, Stee. It's just that if someone comes in with a full backstory, asking if they can legally get $DRUG in $CITY, you don't know for sure that they aren't a dumb cop or Daily Mail hack, banking on someone even dumber piling in with an over-informative answer that might incriminate themself or someone else. So it's wise to be slightly paranoid.

Any "nudge, nudge, wink, wink" type of answer is also unhelpful, as it risks the questioner incriminating themself. Which is not nice even if it happens at home, let alone abroad. If "spend a night in a foreign jail" was on their bucket list, they'd have said.

A country-by-country list would be nice, but curating it probably would end up becoming a full-time job.

^^^^I never thought of that, Julie. It is possible that undercover cops or journalists could be on this site or even amongst us as a member for months or even years.

You're incredibly smart, Julie. And yes it's important to be paranoid when you say that.

Codeine is not hard to obtain but you would still need a prescription. Use your insurance to find a doctor if you really need this.

I deleted my post in case it violated restrictions, as MOD's post made me unsure. But Erikmen above me and Mental Kenny either do something that indicates they are drug users or they are simply unaware that small amounts of codeine is 100% legal and available at any pharmacy in Israel. Nurofen Plus, contains codeine. It is entirely legal, but they do monitor how much you purchase. I am simply trying to clear the misconception here of what people are saying for whatever reason. Have no idea about anything else, but this specific medication is legal and OTC.

i know its not a life or death question, but my retarded post confused him enough as to make him delete the op, and as a first time poster hes probably formed a right impression of EEAD due to my twattishness. i should be encoraging newbies not scaring them off (i cant make longer posts im using a 'smart' tele)
