codeine extraction

I know that cold water extraction works well with codeine combo (apap,aspirin,etc). But what about conversion of pure dihydrocodeine tabs for IM usage?

I think you may be SOL with the DHC pills. From what I've heard they are some patented beeswax time release formula. No one seems to know how to get the beeswax out without destroying the product. I would think a weak heat source, but I dont' really know, I think some people have tried it without success thus far, I guess the heat destroys the good stuff.
It would be much better if you could get out that beeswax shit then pray to god there is an easy kitchen chem to convert it into something worth while. But that's out of my league just by saying chemistry. Though I can always pray.
Plus I think DHC is crap - god the constipation is the worst and I felt like I was going to scratch my skin right off my body.

Yes, my official position on DHC is that it's crap... good for hangovers and sore muscles, but little recreational value.... and afaik, there is no way to get the DHC isolated from the plastic shit they use in the pills...
