Opioids codeine extraction techniques

Right, nice simple first post from me. Apart from the obvious cwe for codeine extraction, what other methods are their? I've seen an ethanol wash could work due to the solubilitys. (in ethanol) codeine- 30mg/10ml, paracetamol- 1g/10ml. Are their any other methods. Anything considered, from very simple to full on pharmaceutical techniques, many thanks, Ross
(just as a footnote) for the prefix for the thread it says opiods, shouldn't it technically be opiates? As opiates stimulate the opioid system in the brain releasing the bodys natural painkillers, e.g. Endorphins?

Ethanol is a horrible liquid to use for extraction.

Water is the easiest to use. especially cold water... This is the simple most effective way...

Opiates do not release endorphins, they mimic them.
