Opioids Codeine Contin

I got some 50MG Codeine Contin Pills and I was wondering if Crushing them into a Powder and than Swallowing them in Capsules would make it Instant Release. When I crush and Powderise a Time-Release Seroquel and Capsule it up and Swallow it I do not feel and Instant Effect it still Time-Releases a bit still somehow? Any Information on this would be Appreciated.
 
its possible its formulated to be time release. might as well crush em up and bomb them, wont hurt. at the worst, itll just still be time releasee
