Cocaine -- First time -- One small line insulflated

(Note: I also had a low dose of GHB at about the same time, but since G takes about twenty minutes to kick in and coke only lasts about half an hour, I'm going to write this about coke only.)

This was about a month ago. I was at a massive rave, with a new friend and his buddies while he was moving his car to a different parking spot. They finally found one, so we turned the car off. My friend told me to reach into the glove compartment and get out a CD case. I did. He set the case on the seat rest. I asked them what they were going to do, and they told me they were going to do some coke. I had only seen someone do coke once before, so I was interested in watching, then pleasantly surprised when my friend said to me: "here, have some coke."

I had never snorted/sniffed anything before, but having read extensively about it online, I had no problems figuring out how. In fact, it was ridiculous how easy it was! My friend rolled up a crisp dollar bill, I plugged one nostril, breathed in through the other, and half-snorted/half swallowed it down my throat (I can't explain it any better than that). The drip was horrible!! Later I would realize that the taste in the back of my throat reminded me of novacaine. Gross.
"When am I going to feel it?" I asked my friend. He told me I should be feeling it now.
"Well, I'm awake now," I said. But I certainly didn't feel high. We got out of the car and started walking to the stage areas. About halfway there, I suddenly started feeling nauseated. We took a detour to sit on the grass. By now I was feeling a buzz, a kind of low crackling energy, but did not notice my perception of my surroundings changing at all. I drank some water and ate one of my nutra-grain bars to get rid of the nasty taste in the back of my throat. My friend and I talked, but I didn't notice either of us talking any faster than normal. Perhaps we were a bit loud... not that it mattered here. I did notice that I was jumpier than normal, and when I went to pee in the bushes nearby I was more paranoid than normal that other people were watching me. However, we then hit the psytrance stage, started dancing, and I became simply happy and energetic.

Retrospect: I kind of enjoyed it, but don't think I got the full effects. The energy buzz was nice, but not much more than I could have gotten from something like ephedrine. However, I have to say I prefer psychedelic type highs. Cocaine did not change my perception all that much, and in that way it felt too close to being sober (just very awake). I might do it again, but only if it's free or really cheap. Another friend of mine said that it's best mixed with other things (alcohol, for instance) instead of something to do by itself. I think I agree on that. When the G kicked in, it made the last ten minutes of the coke experience much smoother.

Some people don't feel anything the first time they use Cocaine. I felt just about what you did. However, now I usually do lines of about .1 to .5 because I like getting extremely high, and then just letting it wear off rather than compulsively snort smaller lines for hours and crave when it's gone. Cocaine is a rather worthless drug. If you continue to use it, chances are, the more you'll either like it or dislike it. The full effect consists of extreme euphoria, social stimulation, body stimulation, alertness, numbness in the nasal, teeth/gums, and throat area, sweating, and that's about it.. Cocaine will NOT change your perception at all. You are better off sticking to psychedelics.

^Thats true... first time many don't get high and only thing they get is little buzz like you did. I have snorted also coke one time and got as far as you did. It's like weed... first time I didn't got anything beside faster heart beat, but third time I was baked. Next time you should feel it if you decide to do it again. Maybe bigger line.

And take Piper advice... stick with psychedelics:)

I tried yello at a party once, it made me awake and a little more paranoid like you said. However I felt quite a bit of euphoria. Even though I was a little drunk driving home I felt like I was completely focused and almost better than usual. The next day I was thinking hey another line sounds good. It's easy to see how that shit would get addictive. Psychedelics and bud are still WAY better and they arent nearly as addictive.

The first time I did it, I was like, well okay, I'm... not sleepy anymore?

But for some reason, I did it again. Then again. And time four or five, I went, OH, so THIS is why people like cocaine.

I still love coke, but in retrospect, I wish I'd just given up after one try.

I love it that there are people out there who can say "here, have some coke" and not have an ulterior motive :)

i think you probably had shit coke, i've never done it myself but judging by my friends' experiences, if it's shit you won't feel much, but if it's GOOD it'll feel like the best fucking thing ever, you won't even need much

That's how I felt the first time, a little alert and numb but not too much. The best cocaine high I've ever had was worse than any decent Dexedrine high I've ever had. That consisted of ringing ears, sweating, heart racing, numbness from my throat at above the neck to the top of my head, paranoia, and the feeling like I was about to jump out of my skin. It was very good coke and I happened to get an eight ball of it. Since being as high as I know I can ever be on the shit, and not liking it all too much, I don't do it anymore. It's an overpriced and overrated drug with too much peripheral stimulation for my liking.
