Hi all, i've searched the forum about using co-codamol to get high and it seems that people are generally suggesting around 120mg to 150mg to get a good dose to get high.

My worry is that there is 500mg paracetamol in them.

If I take 5 of them I will have ingested 2500mg paracetamol. This is more than twice the recommended amount per dose.

Will this ruin my liver? Im 80kg.

Taking 2500mg paracetemol is not healthy or smart but doing it once probably won't kill you if you avoid alcohol etc.

Why don't you just perform a simple CWE?

It's not "healthy" but its not particularly unhealthy. 6grams of acetaminophen in one dose once a month isn't going to hurt anyone. Neither is polishing off the odd six pack. If you go above 4 grams a day regularly, or drink like that regularly, that's when you might have problems down the road.

2.5g is fine. You worry too much man.

I agree. It's not a worry once in a while for most. You can hedge your bets and protect your liver a little with a quick cold water extraction though.

Well fuck if you want to reduce harm, and addiction is harm, then fuckin skip the drugs. Opiates are addictive drugs. 6grams of APAP every now and then is safe.

They don't even treat you with NAC until you get up to ~12g in a day which is considered an accute overdose. And NAC is harmless; it's about it being a waste of time. It's an occupied emergency room, and the person asking for help going to end up fine in the end anyway. Keeping you overnight for 6grams of APAP is medically reckless. You could save a life instead of wasting time watching someone you know is fine. I mean they might check your blood, but unless you lie, you'll be out the door with no treatment in a couple hours. Unless you fight with them saying omg help though I'm going to die I took 8grams of Tylenol! Then they'll admit you to the psych ward for being psychotic and calling the doctor and the medical tests wrong.

The number is actually above 7000mg, I think the number for 12 was the amount it would take to have a fair shot at dying. A non-chronic overdose of less than 7g is the please GTFO of our hospital after we draw blood and confirm that's what you took and make sure you're mentally sane number. It alludes to that in this reference, but there's going to be no source to say if you're a hospital do this or that in a certain situation.

You should not take more than 4000 mg of acetaminophen a day. Taking more, especially 7000 mg or more, can lead to a severe overdose if not treated.

Nowhere does that say that 6g is ok, safe or non-lethal.

No it's not safe. Repeated use of APAP in amounts over 4g/day can cause liver damage down the road. But 6g won't cause any medical problems from occasional exposure. Show me a source where someone healthy has died or had serious damage from that amount one time and ill eat my words.

But we're getting off topic. He's talking about 2.5.
