Stimulants Clumpy 'amphetamine' won't dry properly

Hey there Bluelight,

I have a batch of amphetamine which doesn't work nearly as good as my previous 67% lab tested batch. It's from a different dealer and I didn't expect it to be as good, but I'm wondering what could cause this. The effects of amphetamine are present, but I need quite a lot for that. I've tried to wash it with acetone, but it didn't reduce in mass nor did it dry up properly after that. The structure remains as it was before. Clumpy / Flaky. When snorted it burns more than it should, not heavily, but it did feel somewhat painful.

I'll bring a sample to get tested tomorrow and have the results next week, but until then:
What might it be cut with? (There's clearly amphetamine in there, based on the effects & taste) Anybody who ever got this kind of speed before?

Effects and taste might indicate an amphetamine-like substance which isn't amphetamine. Anyway, if the acetone wash didn't do much, try a methanol wash. Works the opposite - amphetamine is soluble in methanol, but some of your cuts may not. Dissolve your speed in methanol, pour it through a coffee filter, and see how much gunk is left on the filter (and toss it, or take a test sniff for strange, active cuts if you feel adventurous). Then evaporate the methanol, and see what comes?
