Alright i'm starting this, I know whats being on opiates continually without withdrawals now and I can say it's not that impressive, it rips your soul out of you. And no, i don't mean this in christian terms, it makes me a libido-less, interest-less, sleeping and eating useless piece of crap. I was stabilized at 60mg so here we go, i'm now at 57mg since yesterday.

Clonidine is the best thing for me, when I started on methadone first during my 6 days inpatient they gave me clonidine everyday for the #1 worst side effect from opi withdrawal for me : cold sweats. Now that I am reducing my dose, I am getting those a little...(i feel so so bad for people being forced to reduce their dose by crazy amounts for whatever reason, just 3mg less and the cold sweats show up again for me, luckily thats about it, nothing else so far).

I know clonidine comes as a patch, anyone here with experience with wearing a clonidine patch ? I'm pretty sure it works better than the pills as the pills act very fast and are gone very fast from your system too and you gotta wait till you experience the sweating to take 1, while if i was wearing a patch I imagine I would be experiencing continuous effects ? Give your insight OD.

I've been on the patch and taken the pills and I never personally noticed much of a difference other than of course the convenience of not having to constantly pop more pills. All and all clonidine is a big help when you're kicking. You just have to be careful not to take too much in too short a period of time because it can result it a pretty steep drop in blood pressure.

Alright, thanks, it's nice to get info from someone who used the clonidine patch..I could use with taking less pills honestly. I already gotta take valium, atarax, clonidine (for now maybe), seroquel 25mg for when i really cant sleep or for those days where i only tkae 1/4 of my valium script a day to compensate for the days where I take more than I should. Really really powerful things benzos are...make opiate withdrawal/therapy a joke cos I cannot I repeat absolutely cannot get off benzos, i've gotten down to a small dose (20mg val a day) but i still need it.If I do taper from it it will be at 1mg intervals (thank you for existing 2mg valium pills, i laughed at your existence until i found out i could use you for tapering). Well i'm rambling off topic but its because i notice an energy gain since I reduced by only 3mg methadone...at 60mg I was oversedated and it wasn't nice anymore. Which means i'm ready to taper and eventually quit...I would be really happy if I am off the done completely by late summer.
