I am actually in withdrawal from opioids again , to make a long story short it its like my 4-5th try this year, more then the 10 years before haha. Im only off 9 days, and the last i used was 80 mg methadone which lingers forever due to its half life.

I still feel week, freeze and am slightly depressed and have low appetite. i work and go to the gym to take my mind off of the drugs.

Anyway i take lyrica 150, clonidine ~100ug in the morning and diazepam (10mg)/Ab-Fubinca(2-3mg)/Clonidine(~100ug)/Lyrica 150mg in the night for sleep.

Can you get addicted to clonidine? Because i feel really bad leg pains in the morning which kick me off 5 in the morning out off my bed. After i take my medication i feel much better but id much rather not rely on any medication. Or is it just still too early?
I try to use as less as possible just to get rid of the worst withdrawals.

Today i want to meet with my ex gf and want to pop some sildenafil just 25mg, does it have known interaction with clonidine because they both act on blood pressure. I think i will just skip the clonidine alltogether, cause we plan to drink ethanol also.

Any input appriciated.

Yeah, you need to taper your clonidine. Clonidine lowers blood pressure, just like opiates. So by taking it, you're mitigating the chills, sweating, fever, etc, as this is all because your blood pressure spikes up in WD. Clonidine reverses this, however once you stop the clonidine the blood pressure issues will be right back. You need to slowly taper off your clonidine after your opie WD is over.

well the result of the night was a slight headache, common to sildenafil and ethanol.
I thought clonidine counter the noradrenalin rebound of withdrawals.

Yes, clonidine can have rebound symptoms in bp if you take if for a while. I took it off Heroin. I tapered down from 2 pills to 1, then to 1/2 within a week.

idont worry about blood pressure, i have rebound pain in my legs and start to get the fucking chills again. I just take a max of 1,5 150ug pills. They are tiny and hard to split. I wil try to dose down at the weekend and see how it will work out. now i feel kind of ok with lyrica and ckonidine in the morning.

I am assuming those meds are prescribed..
Ask to get the clonidine switched over to guanfacine, it does the same thing as clonidine on the same receptors but much better.
Think of it as clonidines new and improved version lol.. give it a look on wiki or google it.
Good luck.

I was on clonidine .2mg am and .2mg pm for years and then came off it, the rebound was terrible.
Earlier this year i was going to be put back on clonidine but my dr decided to use guanfacine (Tenex) instead.
I'm glad he did, works much better for my bp and calming me down along with eliminating RLS (I take many other meds of too tho have panic disorder and schitzoaffective disorder)
Plus im in and out of opiate wds constantly.

I dont plan to take a2 agonist any longer as needed. I'll really try to skip the evening dose today, because my legs still feel well from 2/3 a pill this morning. My appetiate started to come back the first day i cooked a great tasty meal, instead of gulping it down or drink shakes.

I'll rather consider to take more diazepam/ab-fubinca/lyrica. If that is done diazepam is the next to "taper".

I was on 0.3 (0.1mg 3x day) for methadone sweats for 4yrs+ and I stopped it, its possible! The medical industry describes addictive only if its physical otherwise its fine!

Clonidine did a lot more negative than good for me resulting in many times while standing up to fall down loosing consciousness for 1-2sec as everything goes black before your eyes or starts to glitter and you need to hold on to something. You don't take it (on methadone) and your sweating in -20 C degree weather!

How I stopped wasn't as much gradual as I just removed it from my 4yr+ regiment and took higher doses of benzos, weed even alcohol if it helps.

I'm taking it again b/c I'm sweating like crazy during this time of year (120mg methadone) but i'm sure its bad for the kidneys and liver no question and to be avoided if possible no longer than 2-3 months.

yea i have just done exactly that, i quit the clonidine and took another benzo more and smoked one more joint. It wasnt all that bad because my condition greatly improved over the last days. I sweat quite fast but only if i move around, dont freeze anymore, no sneezing my mind is also much more back to baseline. Strenght also recovers, same goes with appetite.

I am over the worst now i just dont have to fall again, i really cant do this again, in the near future...WD has become progressively worse and longer....

120mg Methadone is bad, but been there done that for years too :(, absolute waste of of the best years of my life....

Damn i a had a small slip up with 20 mg methadone and loads of benzos, i just sleeped through it. Its always the same, if i am back on top ( full energy , appetite, no pain in legs etc.) i relapse. But this time i was so clever to not use the following days. Its 3 days ago and i still feel fine so i am really lucky and happy nothing bad came off of it. My tolerance must be somehow high cause 20 mg hardly touched me.

Concerning the interaction between clonidine and viagra : Combining the two certainly can lead to marked drops in BP which can lead to things like orthostatic hypotension and syncope but taking them together is not completely contraindicated like the alpha 1 blockers or nitroglycerin. If possible monitor your BP and get up slowly from a sitting or laying down position.

Good to hear you are okay Trip, and could sleep through it.
I couldn't do that. When I relapsed I used for 3 days and on the 4th day mid day panic was already starting to set in with some physical withdrawals. The mental came real quick which scared the hell out of me. I then used another 30 days to cope with the w/d before I finally quit which got worse and worse for 30 days.
You said you still had a tolerance. Yeah, I was right back up to a high dose of opiates equal to previous amount in like 3 days
