Hi, I'm a little new to this site, I've been browsing around here for about 3 months now but just now made an account to deal with some of my concerns.
So, about 2 months back I tried Clonazepam (Klonopin) for the first time. I took 2 .5 mg tabs. Later in the day, my friends and I toked up. I had one hit of the bowl, and passed it on. I then noticed I was starting to get really dizzy, as if the Clonazepam had amped the effect of the weed. I sat down and felt a little better, and by then the session was over.
The next day I went to a small party with some friends where the plan was to just toke up and chill. I took only about 5 hits from a joint and got really dizzy, like the day before, but this time it was more intense. I found a table (away from everybody else) to just chill, hoping I would be okay. For about 20 minutes I just sat there and tried to think about how I was feeling. Then I threw up.
So, I heard different people can have different experiences when combining Clonazepam with weed. For example my friend took 1 tab of .5 mg Clonazepam, smoked a whole bunch of weed, and didn't feel any effects of the weed.
The thing is, I've had 25 mg Zolpidem (Ambien) with a friend and we later smoked a joint, and that was the best and sickest trip I have ever been on. I felt fine the whole time, didn't need to throw up.
Can the reason possibly be that Zolpidem is a nonbenzo, and Clonazepam is a benzo? Should I avoid benzos in the future when lighting up?
