For opioids, does anyone have personal experience or online evidence/proof of cimetidine or grapefruit being better for potentiation? Are they basically the same? (Obviously grapefruit juices have widely varying levels of everything, this isn't the point) Do cimetidine and grapefruit inhibit the exact same enzymes? Is there any added benefit in using both?
2nd question is: when is it best to take? I usually do an hour before orally dosing. Is this too soon or too late or just right? Any re-dosing advice/info?
Tl;dr- what's the difference between cimetidine and grapefruit as far as opioid potentiation, when is it most efficient to take in relation to opiate dose?
(Oxycodone specifically, but Suboxone too)
