Chuchuhuasi Tincture - Experienced - Subtle "Aphrodisiac"

I had a friend who was/is apprenticing with a shaman in Peru tell me about this herb, chu chu huasi, that may be good for my arthritis.

I said why the fuck not. So I found a bottle of chu chu huasi tincture in 50-60% sugar cane alcohol, "wildcrafted."

I took 15 drops twice a day like it recommended, and didn't notice anything for the first few days. Then I began to notice its effects:

For about 5 hours after taking it, I had a greater feeling of love for my friends, and myself. I think the self-love was more prominent.
My joints were actually less inflamed.
In meditation, I could really journey far. I was able to let my mind go fearlessly. Again, the feeling of love was strong. It made me become aware of great peace and space inside me.

I began to get the feeling, however, that I shouldn't do this while I have a busy schedule--I'm at college, and it's the end of term. It told me to wait til the summer. It was right. The next time I took it, I got sick. nauseous, flu-like, etc. This was accompanied by a change in consciousness characterized by release followed by fortitude. It was also accompanied by a noticeable reduction in joint inflammation. My theory is that my immune system was being redirected from attacking my joints to some foreign pathogen my body has been ignoring.

I feel strongly that this is a "teacher" plant. It's not psychedelic, and is subtle, but if you have sufficient self-awareness, I feel you could use this herb to your advantage. It desires to be worked with, not taken as some drug.

EDIT: Shit, I forgot to make the title according to guidelines. Mods, if you could change it to: "Chuchuhuasi Tincture - Experienced - Subtle "Aphrodesiac" and Potential Arthritis Medicine" EDIT 2: Thanks.

oh my god

this tells me fuck all about the actual effects. nice report but what does this shit actually do? stimulant/depressant

i am interested but i want body feelings other than gets rid of arthritis because that waxes and wanes in relation to the weather among other things

you've piqued my interest then i haven't got the info i wanted. if it does something then its a drug and if its a drug what kind of blatant physical effects are going on

Thanks for the report rhythmspring, it's nice to see the therapeutic plants explored. :) Do you drink coconut milk? I hear that's good for arthritis, due to selenium content or something.

Its use is medicinal (especially for rheumatism/arthritis), not recreational. See here for details. Chuchuhuasi has pharmacological action as a PKC inhibitor, among other things.

You're half-right, this is a lot of technobabble, but from what I can make out, it stops your body from directing your immune system to attack your joints.1 2 3
