I had a friend who was/is apprenticing with a shaman in Peru tell me about this herb, chu chu huasi, that may be good for my arthritis.
I said why the fuck not. So I found a bottle of chu chu huasi tincture in 50-60% sugar cane alcohol, "wildcrafted."
I took 15 drops twice a day like it recommended, and didn't notice anything for the first few days. Then I began to notice its effects:
For about 5 hours after taking it, I had a greater feeling of love for my friends, and myself. I think the self-love was more prominent.
My joints were actually less inflamed.
In meditation, I could really journey far. I was able to let my mind go fearlessly. Again, the feeling of love was strong. It made me become aware of great peace and space inside me.
I began to get the feeling, however, that I shouldn't do this while I have a busy schedule--I'm at college, and it's the end of term. It told me to wait til the summer. It was right. The next time I took it, I got sick. nauseous, flu-like, etc. This was accompanied by a change in consciousness characterized by release followed by fortitude. It was also accompanied by a noticeable reduction in joint inflammation. My theory is that my immune system was being redirected from attacking my joints to some foreign pathogen my body has been ignoring.
I feel strongly that this is a "teacher" plant. It's not psychedelic, and is subtle, but if you have sufficient self-awareness, I feel you could use this herb to your advantage. It desires to be worked with, not taken as some drug.
EDIT: Shit, I forgot to make the title according to guidelines. Mods, if you could change it to: "Chuchuhuasi Tincture - Experienced - Subtle "Aphrodesiac" and Potential Arthritis Medicine" EDIT 2: Thanks.
