I have been a meth user since I was 14 I'm not 29 in a few days. I started i.v. use aprox 5 years ago. And about a year ago when I gave quitting a real try I ended up getting that numbness and tingeling pins and needles feeling started in my hand. Now this is not the normal " hand fell asleep numb pain" this is wake up middle of the night jumping around flailing in a panic crying from the intense pain until heit either subsides ( now usually goes for about 1-2 hours before releif slowly sides In. Or if I do a shot of meth it's gone Instantly and gone for 8 hrs ofafter that.

I've gone to orthopedic Drs. For 7 months now ran all kinds of tests etc. And they come up with severe case of carpal tunnel. I've not disclosed my drug use to them at all. I kind of can't. My mother works in that Drs. Office and I don't want to Shame her good name.

So yeah I do was on the road to quitting for good and for real. And now I can't. I work construction and I have to work there's no option of me not working. To work my job I have to have feeling in my fingers and can't be distracted by the intense pain .

So my question is has anyone else ever experienced such a situation? Any methods to find relief and success stories bcuz they are about to send me to surgery for carpal tunnel and ill be out for 8 weeks of work which I just can't do at this time in my life. I need to find something that works so I can work. Thank you

I would presume your carpal tunnel is due to the repetitive nature of construction work, not from meth.

I'm currently struggling with "tendonitis" // repetitive stress injury in my forearms... which has moved up to my elbow, upper arm, shoulders... unless I have some crazy yet-undiagnosed autoimmune disease. I barely spend any time on the computer anymore :(

I found this book at my local library, it's often cited as a good one to read:

I used to shoot dope into my hands. I hit this really painful area a few years back. I get pins and needles/numbness constantly. When I write, I have shooting pains. I hope it gets better for you. It drives me nuts.
