Cannabutter or oil?

For you guys out there that have made brownies which method do you prefer? making cannabutter or oil?

i have tried making brownies once with butter and put about a quarter of crons but it didnt do much more than get you buzzed.

Im looking into making another batch and maybe this time i should use oil. i have some buds that are kinda watever. they are leafy and get me high but im guessing making brownies would be better to get high offf. im guessing using about 10 grams of this stuff or maybe a half an ounce?

what do you guys think or have done before?

i would definitely go with the butter. having used both in making brownies, the butter is superior because at room temp, butter is a solid and oil is not. if you use oil, you will end up with brownies that never solidify, it can be a mess.

i would use as much weed as you can part with, i don't know if 10grams would do the trick. oral cannabis is much less potent than smoking it. it lasts much longer though, and if you eat enough, it can be quite trippy in a way smoking cannot reproduce.

what is your technique for making cannabutter? i find the most effective method to be:

1. bring a pot of water and your desired amount of butter (unsalted!) to a boil.
2. reduce heat so the water is still boiling, but not a rolling boil.
3. add your finely ground weed to the boiling water.
4. let boil for 30-60mins.
5. turn off the flame. carefully pour the mix through a strainer that's small enough to get the weed bits out into another container that is roughly the same size.
6. place the water/butter mix in the refrigerator for a couple hours
7. by now, the butter should have formed a sem-solid disc on top of the cold water. just collect the butter, the water can be discarded. you're done!

note: for this to work properly, you must use a descent amount of both weed and butter. i would recommend a half ounce of quality weed or more than a whole ounce of trimmings to two sticks of butter. i would use one stick of butter for a small tray of brownies.

well i have done the butter method and i cooked it in the butter for abut 30 -40mins. then i put it in the freezer and the buttter did solidify on top of the water. what i was thinking is that maybe there is alot of thc in the water. or does the thc only stick t the butter?? thanks for the advice tho.
