Hello, this is my first post here :)

I've rolled a lot and am extremely comfortable with ecstasy. I've felt almost every end of it, including bad trips.

However, I have never taken LSD and plan to soon. I have a great setting; one of my favorite places at my favorite time of day (the quiet silence of 11 PM to 6 AM) with my 2 best friends for many years now. I am a bit anxious due to my slight uncertainty of the strength of the LSD, having heard stories of taking very strong LSD while unprepared.

I've heard ecstasy could be a very nice ease into an acid trip. My question is, could this combination possibly be too overwhelming? While I have faith in keeping a good mindset with ecstasy, I am slightly fearful on how I'd act being nervous about the acid.

I also hear valium is great tool to use in the case of a bad trip. Would it be dangerous to candyflip and take valium in case the trip goes the wrong way?

Normally I would say with every substance, try it on it's own the first time, because anyone could react to any drug in a peculiar way at any time, especially if you don't know your reaction to it yet.
But with such 2 big players as LSD and MDMA I would say that goes double so to speak.

On top of that, MDMA may give a sense of security but it is a false, prosthetic sense that you actually need to be able to generate within yourself. This is a psychological process of getting to know yourself deeper and better, and trusting yourself to keep you stable, balanced, harmonic. There is something I would definitely recommend against, in starting to trip not on the base of yourself but on something supplemental.
I would worry that if my first time is a candyflip, that any second time on LSD would unconsciously be compared with your first time, giving you confusion about the integrity of your personal identity and feelings.
Actually the same goes for Valium, but in a bit different way. You see if you abort a trip because it is overwelming you're not finishing what you started. It's not something people say that you're 'not cool' if you abort - it can really be problematic because you are in a way freezing an unfinished experience and the loose ends beg to be processed.
The bottom line is that you should never get yourself in way over your head so fast. You might ruin your relationship with psychedelics and treat yourself on some other issues to boot.

I don't want to be all drama queen, and of course you could also be just fine. But IMO the above risks are real however big they are and it is responsible to avoid it, especially when you don't have the experience to fall back on, in the beginning.

There is a First Time Trippers Thread, a Big & Dandy LSD Thread and also a whole different MDMA / ecstacy forum..
There will soon be a central Candyflip Thread as well.

I suggest you check them out! :)

Welcome to Bluelight!

Welcome!

I would definantly say try them on their own first before you decide on mixing drugs together... this way you will know for sure the effects of the drugs and not be misunderstood.

i would recommend have at least 2 experiences with acid before combining the two. Before my first candyflip I pushed the envelope with acid. LSD is a beautiful mind changing experience and for the first time it is good to try it by itself. My acid trips will last 10-12 hours. I am a very comfortable mdma user but candyflipping is very different. For the valium, if you are in a good setting you wont need it until its time to go to bed but an acid afterglow feels so nice you might not want the valium. I will use a xanax after a nice night of rolling. Enjoy your trip!

Could it possible be overwhelming?

Absolutely. Candyflipping is by far the most intense drug experience I've ever had. I strongly suggest being comfortable with both drugs first.

Please try LSD out first and get a feel for it. Acid is an amazing experience, enjoy it :)

Candyflipping can be very intense, it's my fave combo by a mile. My most recent candyflip was arguably the best/most postive drug experience I've ever had, it absolutely floored me. Not for the inexperienced though!

As has been said; I would also highly recommend you do LSD on it's own first. Also check out the links in Solipsis' post.

Here's another good link (This one's a good candidate for the central candyflipping thread): Candyflipping

Seeing as this has been redirected quite well I'm going to close it. If after searching the linked threads you still have unanswered questions; ask them in those threads. :)
