Can you use an 18 gauge syringe for IM meds prescribed?

So when I relapsed a little while back I used up all my syringes for my testosterone IVing Ritalin (which is extremely dangerous don’t do it) and I do have some 18 gage needles but that’s for drawing the testosterone into the syringe.

Would it be okay to use the 18 gage needles to take my testosterone other than it not being ideal? Just they are kinda big but that is the same gage we used at the blood bank when I used to be a phlebotomist to draw blood and for plasmapherisis but idk. Might be really painful in the muscle but should work?
 
U used to be a phlebotomist but ur asking random people on the internet for advice about needles???

Sure you wanna post this here cause it sounds more like you are asking for advice on how you abuse the substance rather than recover from it.

I think he means he ivd the pills and in doing so used all his syringes for his testosterone so now he wants to just use the fatter needles for his test.

I would encourage that juice not to go through with this. I get we all (most) like to use/abuse.

From what I understand he isn't asking about shooting pills but rather using a larger than normal needle gauge for administration of testosterone which is a prescribed self administered intramuscular injection

The info about shooting Ritalin was just an explanation of why he doesn't have proper size needles

Okay. I explained to my pharmacy I only had 18 gages and they said they will let me buy more if the right size a as to not inject with 18 gage whatsoever so I would delete this but someone else may wonder down the line.

It can be done apparently but she said it will hurt bad and that it may even leak out thru the wound
 
Yea I read when doing IM you should pull the skin out of place so when it slides back it prevents leaking, idk how much that would help if using a huge needle tho

Can you? Yes. Should you? Id say no. In a pinch in early aas usage I used a 20g for IM in my glute and it was awful. That was back when I was obsessive over never missing a shot, like a decade ago in my early 20s. I even had new needles coming in the mail over the next couple days lmao.
Wait until you have smaller gauge needles if you can. It won't be neatly as painful, less blood, and overall less scar tissue accumulation. The largest I'm willing to use today sparingly is 22 or 23. Otherwise it's 25 for 1 inch needles and 27 for shorter needles(for things like delts, pecs, triceps).

You can certainly use them, although I don't know why you would want to. I use 27GA IM.
