can you turn down a shot of dope?

Can you look at a shot with your name on it and say "no?" This is assuming you're not already buzzing or nodding.

a few months ago when I first tried it, I turned it down a couple of times when the shot was already pulled and being handed to me. But now, I don't think I can do it without buckling and asking for it later or something. Something about having the shot right there is so much worse than trying to quit when there's no dope in sight.
 
Yeah I would not be able to turn it down. Well maybe now I would since I got a natrexalone implant but 1 year ago no way! Everytime I was offered a rig and dope I took it.
 
Well,of course. Us over in Britain have spent so long being told by our govt. to "Just Say NO!"that it's second nature to us now. And we all do what we're told over here........
 
I don't think any addict would turn down a free hit. I know for a fact that if someone offered me a pin full of gear for free I would be on it straight away.

yeah..ive been banging r's only on weekends for a while now

only rarely do it do it during the week, never crack under peer pressure
 
Imagine someone handing you the shot. You poke around a bit until you find a nice comfortable vein. Then you draw back and watch the blood fill the syringe.

What EXACTLY would someone have to do, at that point, to keep you from plunging in when you've already registered?

Knowing that I could return to heroin addiction.

I already get to use IV buprenorphine so I would just do that.

I honestly wished bupe would work as well for everyone as it does for me. However I still have hope in novel opioid partial agonists in the near/far future.
 
goddamn. I can't wait until I can afford some IV bupe. The few times I've been on bupe, it cured my need for anything else.
 
I've been shot up a few times and it was nice but now I just say no. Of course I think about it but then in the end I rather not do it again.

What about if you spend 4 hours waiting for it, then you cook up a nice shot, then you put it in your vein, pull back, register some blood, plunge.

how about taking some Narcan right then, iv? What would it take for you to do that?
