I knew somebody who used to sprinkle valium on top of his bowls before smoking them. He was very insistent that it was effective, although I have my doubts as to the veracity of his claim. Placebo anyone?
Sorry, this reply has added little of substance. Bottom line is I don't know...

Heh, if you don't want anything that's from personal experience you aren't going to get any answers. What you think we're going to look up whether you can smoke benzos in a medical textbook?
Anything can be vaporized, just not everything can be done so practically. I don't see any reason why you COULDN'T vaporize benzos, but on the other reason I don't see any reason why you'd WANT to vaporize them. It isn't like there's some sort of "rush" with depressants.
If it's quick absorption you're looking for, try some xanax sublingually.

Not everything can be vaporized as many drugs are destroyed by heat. If you dont believe me go smoke a fat bowl of Acid ......sorry.
It is not possible to get high by smoking benzo's in pill form to my knowlege. I wouldn't bother. Crush and swig in h20. It's fast and works very well with minimal damage to the drug or your body.

note that i said everything can be vaporized, but not necessarily PRACTICALLY, i did not claim that you can smoke acid in your marijuana pipe, but theoretically under the right conditions acid can exist as a vapor, get it?
some things are just sensitive to excessive heat or have vaporization points that make them too difficult to vaporize

1) Not everything exists as a vapor at normal atmospheric pressure. Some things burn at this pressure before they vaporize.
2) Many things which are 'smoked' are not vaporized or burnt, they are 'attached' or carried by other substances in the smoke that have vaporized and/or burnt then are carried into the lungs and absorbed. This is why a lot of the people around here don't realize that certain substances (like plain cocaine...) can be smoked, with effect, AS LONG A THERE IS A CARRIER (like the tobacco in a cigarette). The particles are ''dissolved'' in the CARRIER's smoke, and carried with it, despite the fact that it doesn't vaporize at that temperature. This is a HIGHLY INEFFECTIVE way of getting something into the system, because only a very slight amount of a substance can be dissolved in a vapor, and the vapor has the tendency to 'drop' some of it as it moves. HOWEVER, it does work.
3) From personal experience, I am VERY confident in the belief that Lorazepam ('Ativan') can be smoked, with effects different from oral or sub-lingual... having done so, as the only means of administration, on numerous occasions, and then having experienced episodes of talking long naps and not remembering many hours upon waking up. If you have a bunch, why not just try. Whats it gonna do... kill you on the first toke?
Well... I guess it COULD, but such are the risks we take.
