If you take suboxone can you drink on it? What happens if you drink a lot of booze while taking subs?

Drinking a lot of booze when taking subs can make you seriously ill and depending on what your drinking and type of subs - mixing the two could prove to be fatal.

Drug Interaction Report

If your on the Subs film then read this warning

There is one person that I chat with on the site who is taking Subs and I knows enjoys a drink - Ill see if they are willing to add some further information to this thread that may be of use to you. (how much they drink, how it effects them etc).

Thanks

Yes, you can drink alcohol while on suboxone. It won't make you any sicker than you'd normally get, however as it is a depressant and so is alcohol, mixxing the two will have additive effects and can result in death by respiratory depression if you over indulge. I've personally drank many many many times while taking My suboxone but I am used to both My dose and being an alcoholic, the booze as well, so just don't binge and take it slow to give it enough time to see how each drink effects you. Alcohol takes 20 mins to enter the bloodstream for males on an empty stomach (shorter for females and longer with food), and one ounce takes one hour to be cleared from the body. When you can no longer do those equations while drinking, you've had enough.
