Heroin can whats left behind after smoking show potency?

title pretty much says it all. i have 2 different kinds of tar right now. when i chase kind A it leaves a dark thick black/brown streak down the foil. with type B it leaves hardly anything behind and is also hard and breaks down like a rock.

does leaving lots of residue and shit behind when smoked mean lower potency? yes this is harm reduction related, im going to IV for the first time soon and i want to use the lower potency one just to be extra safe

not sure about residue, but when the tar is melted down on foil and looks a dark ruby red, ime it is some strong stuff.

usually decent gear should run clean on the foil. if you've got a batch thats leaving tons of shite behind when you run it then thats whatever its been bashed with. sugar is an especially bad one as it frazzes like mad for the first few lines and tastes like shit. normally if theres alot of bash in it it tends to burn out the further you get into smoking it as well so the more lines you've run the cleaner it will become.
