Can u actually get euphoria from valium?

had 40mg today but it's just reduced the hangover effects from the few drinks a had last night. (making me feel more normal rather than any sense of feel good)

I know ppl say the euporia of benzos is for ppl with anxiety who suddenly loose the nervous feelings.

I atually beleive it's possible to catch a buzz from valium.
I rekon if i was really healthy & took 40mg or so it might actually produce some kind of head high rather than a body clearness.

I'm not talking opiate feelings. But do u think it's possible to catch any euphora from Valium?. Rather than just the releif of having anxiety reduced.

On another note. Does alcohol actually potentiate valium or is it simple mixing both together that makes it dangerous? (temazepam ive felt mild euphoria from, but not xanax which had the closest but mild resembleness to some of the side effects of alcohol). I'm talking about a head high rather than a body clearness)

DO NOT mix alcohol & Valium. I do somtimes but everyone is different. IME they dont potentiate each other. I just feel the same as a usually would after a few drinks. If anything the valium takes away some of the bad effects of the alcohol & leaves me feel better in the morning.\

When I've done this I've taken the dose of valium BEFORE starting to drink just to be safe. but i must be weird or something because I dont see any cross potentiation. (Im sure the short acting benzos may have a different story)

yeah I beleive u can it's just a feeling that's hard to catch.
codeine gives me better euphoria & somtimes ppl need to actually lay down if they have a tolerance to actually feel any mild euphoria. valiums good though cuz its got a very long half-life so ya dont have to worry about ups & downs like xanax. Codeine only gives me mild euphroa for like 1/2 an hr then just has its pain killing effects which i dont find that much stronger than APAP & i have to take a f'n antihistamine at high doses cuz of the histamine bs.

Anyone know anything about weather alcohol actually potentiates benzos or is it simply mixing both.

..and correct me if im wrong but benzos dont actually potentiate opiates either. its just mixing em.

im sure this is covered & i should. sorry for not utfse.. im just feelin a bit lazy atm

mixing benzos and alcohol will potentiate each other as they are both gabanergic drugs.

However too much benzos such as xanax and beer will make you black out and not remember what you did. It can also be a dangerous combo because you would be mixing cns depressants.
 
What does it feel like? I never abused my drugs, but assuming that I did, what is the feeling? They don't seem recreational to me, Xanax just shuts the brain's no. Klonopin is very subtle.
 
benzos are suptile if u take high amounts then u'll just have a stonger subtle effect. IMO
man klonopins the benzo i wanna try. only had lorezapam, valium, xanax, temazepam.
its suppose to stronger long acting drug than valium.
I know what u saying.. how can such a subtle feeling drug be so addictive. (i get way more smashed from a couple tokes of weed... yet not addictive... weird)
I think a true alcohol addiction (i drink occationly & it FUCKS ME UP the next day. worse than 4mg of Xanax if ya talking 8-12 drinks.

it may be debatable. but unless ya taking enormese amounts of benzos it doesnt compare to someone who drinks a bottle of burbon/vodka or something every day. IMO... feel freee to commant though
im thankfully not an alcoholic or anything (drink beer now & than but havnt had spirits in yrs).. i just know when i drink for 1-2 days in a row it takes a few days to recover. worse than atleast valium in any fuckin dose unless ya taken like the whole fucken packet or somethin

They are too subtle. Only works if you are doing something anxious. No high, no feeling. Just trying to do things and then you notice you aren't anxious.
 
The relief of anxiety for some people like me DOES induce real feelings similar to euphoria. Valium not so much like Klonopin or Xanax...or Temazepam. Temazepam can definitely produce euphoria not just because of the relief from anxiety. It has similar opiate-type effects...well not like opiates but similar. Very enjoyable hypnosis. So while some benzos have the potential to produce euphoria, I would not really be able to from Valium
