I think Im pretty normal.. But people have always told me that im crazy, like good friends, and even family members.. I use to think there trying to be funny.. But they would say it in a serious way, but never saying why..

Anyway lately Iv been thinking maybe I am, I do, do a lot of drugs..
And now that im sober, things don't feel right..

I have read psychology books, but I don't really have any of the symptoms in the books which matches something, maybe one or two symptoms from each disease, but you usually have to have a certain amount..

for example when somebody is bipolar they have a set of symptoms, so when they tell there doctor these symptoms its like oh ok u have bipolar..

but latly iv been thinking i must be crazy to have been doing so much opaites, and not caring for the consequences..

But then again I live in Los Angeles there is a lot of crazy people in this city, as long as I'm functioning with normal stuff I guess it shouldn't matter.

Maybe you're just a drug addict? Drug addiction is a psychological disorder but it's not like psychosis or anything like that.. it just means that you're dependent on drugs. Plenty of people are batshit insane, plenty of people are addicted to dopes, and plenty of people fall into both categories. Some types of drug psychosis or withdrawal can seem like organic psychosis when really they're just temporary.

your probably right...

but people use to say that before I was addict..
I have only became addict about 15 months, before that it was only 2-3 times a month..

also mostly I have always been antisocial, only when I became addict I became more social..
so it could be am not used to having close friends, so when I do, I don't know how to interactive with them, so maybe I come off weird.. I guess I need to work with my social skills..
IDK

I suppose their are crazy people who don't know know they are crazy.

But it seems to me that many addicts use because they have various mental disorders. That doesn't make them crazy. Most often they are simply self medicating .

Perhaps the real question here I what is normal, using drugs abusig drugs doesn't mean your crazy. It could mean you are an addict. Addiction may make you think u r crazy. But its treatable. Mot necessaily easy but treatable like most mental disorders.

Don't listen to others. Find out yourself. Most mental disorders are treatable as well.
Good luck to you in finding the answers you are looking for.

Hey I am crazy and I live in Chicago. Turn it up! I dont do drugs anymore [for the most part] and I still feel crazy. I have came to accept it.

peace.

too high/drunk/whatever to give anythinb but brief response.
Yes, using drugs recreationally ('medicinally' as some call it), especially if you are already suffering from a mental disorder or had a pretty nasty childhood it will definitely end up even worse.
Using drugs on a daily basis (not coffee or cigs, starting maybe at weed and alcohol) will eventually lead to a lot of delusional thinking, yes you can definitely be crazy and not know it.

Well, a lot of people fall within the antisocial personality disorder I have realised. I can smell it from far far away. Think there are way many more people like this on bluelight, especially the dark side. Harm reduction is just total BS to cover their asses.

But ASPD is not craziness, dw. I am happy more and more people are starting to become capable of love though, truly believe they are the next generation of humans.

Maybe, but that is not the case for most people tbh.

Meh, lots of people have called me crazy, or just straight fucked up. I never put much thought into it. Well, sometimes I did. I have some friends that are pretty fucked in the head in my opinion, and for them to seriously look at me and say "bro, I've known you for a while and don't take this offensively, but you're pretty fucked in the head you know?" Blah, whatever. No one has said it to me seriously for a while now. So I just kinda forgot about it.

But if you really do think you're crazy, get shit checked out, or talk to someone. But don't let someone convince you that you're crazy if you truly feel that you're not.

"I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane"

Truly crazy people as far as I know have no idea that they're crazy, meaning they're not even for a second thinking "Am I crazy?", if you're asking yourself if you're crazy you may be a little crazy but not official crazy.

I've always been crazy if crazy means not normal, or thinking for yourself, or having a low tolerance for idiots..etc.

It's all so subjective, it's also dependent on your environment, I work in a creative field where craziness to a certain degree is a valuable quality.

But to get back to the original question, I think the only way one can be truly crazy is if they don't know it,

but even then maybe it's just our culture, if we were more spiritually evolved maybe we would see the crazy people as the sane ones and everyone else would just fall into the class of people that have a lot of work to do on themselves, so they can free themselves of their sanity!

ill bet youre not crazy. mental disorders, while real, are not easily diagnosed, and you or your friends arent nearly qualified to do anything more than speculate about a disorder. its nearly impossible to look at yourself in a completely objective manner, and your friends and family are even less qualified (i'll assume, unless theyre phDs) to offer their "diagnoses." dont worry about it man

People say you are crazy when you don't do things the way they expect you to do them or the way society expects you to do them.

I've been called crazy by lots of people.

In my humble opinion, I'm perfectly alright and society are the fucking crazy ones.

Spend a few hours watching CNN and tell me the people in the House and the Senate are sane..

Who are they to judge you?

If you are happy doing what you are doing, paying your bills, and not hurting anyone you are just fine in my opinion.

No need to be a slave to labels.

thank you, you'll have very good points..

as long as Im happy and doing my own things, and not hurting anyone,
other peoples opinion should not matter, funny thing is some of the people who have told me these some, do have serious issues, or have unrealistic expectation about life, which makes me think there crazy..

It's just they're better in socializing, it's only been recently that I started socializing with people. Before it was like, I see u where ever school, work, events, etc, I talk to u and thats it, no other communication, I wouldn't go out of my way to see someone..

But now that I don't go to school, work at home, and rarely go to club, I have to go out of my way to see friends..

Anyway I think I have to work on my social skills..

Any good books to read on that.. Lol...

You need to update your definition of "crazy"
