Can I sublingual XR caps?

I just tried to sublingual (under the tongue) my 5mg methylphenidate (Ritalin) XR caps, sounded so easy when other people talk about doing it but how the hell do they do this?!?!

I first tried to crush them on a plate with a spoon, but the little balls just fly out all over the place... So I wrapped them in some printing paper and crushed, worked a little but not sure how effectively....

Then poured the semi crushed powdery stuff under my toungue but by the time it got there my mouth was already full of saliva and no matter how hard I tried the powder was gone in seconds.... I read I should keep it there 10 or more minutes...



What am I doing wrong? I know many people use pressed pills rather than caps, but I've also heard of people crushing the balls for the same method, just didnt say anything about it disappearing in seconds....

Just tried another one, wrapped the little ballpowder stuff in a tissue, crushed a bit from the outside of the paper and stuck it under, seemed to work better, could taste it for about 5 minutes i guess. no numbness or other sensations though. Any opinions on this?

Buy a pill crusher. They are like 5 bucks. I believe part of Ritalin LA is already IR, you just cant differentiate the beads so will have some effect regardless.

I'm not sure if the problem is the crushing part, but the powder just disappears in seconds, tissue might have helped a bit but don't think it worked so well either :/
