I remember awhile back PhreeX stated that the cops brought an ink or paper smelling dog into his raid. What do you think it was lookin for? money?
and does anyone know if big brother can tell when your bank account is getting bigger than your pay checks?

Um , what are common reasons for police raids. Many of you on here that claim to be raided at least once , but if your not dealing drugs , then what is the reason??
If it is because of posts on here , then please tell . otherwise , I can't understand getting raided if you don't deal. IT costs money for police to do that.

i wouldnt doubt it at all... you can smell money at a fairly large distance and its a very distinctive smell. american money has a *really* strong (but somehow nice =)) smell..
and yes, the bank will call you on it if you're depositing larger amounts of money than you should. my parents, who are gambling addicts, won fairly large amounts a few times and the bank asked them to sign some form saying where they got the money.
 
They won't bust you for posting things at forums. Posting online is a first amendment right. When they do bust you, they will follow your e-trail, and pull all of the posts and replies you made to use against you in court to prove intent or conspiracy. So don’t get caught. THEY WILL take your computer with them if they raid you. The cops don’t look for things to bust you on when they raid, they are looking for any thing that will help them create a good evidence package against you. By the time they raid, your arrest is almost assured, because as an observant poster pointed out, it costs big bucks and agents don’t like to put themselves in harms way without a damn good reason.
Tip: don’t throw away shit you shouldn’t have in the trash outside your house.
It would be pretty ironic if I had to defend this post in court eh?......hehehe
does anyone have a link to a case where this has happened?

Find proxies.
Use the proxies to browse/post on the net.
Never get raided cause of posting on forums.
 
Jesus fuck! You people are to paranoid... no one is getting raided for anything they say on this board.. the cops read this and laugh at the stupid druggies.. no one here is of intrest to law enforcement, and if you use proxies to post here, thats totally un-needed, a waste of time... the only way you will get in trouble is *MAYBE* if you made a post offering drug for sale.. even then..
You can get raided for any number of reasons.. usually the law enforcment agency thinks that they could find something fun in your place.. you're not likely to get raided unless you have a *fair* amount of drugs - they wont boot your door in over a 10-pack, so don't worry about that guy you just know is an undercover .. getting the actuall warrant is a little harder, as they have to present probable cause to a judge - still, it doesn't take much.. they got a warrant for our places after several weeks of taking our trash bags out of the dumpster and from outside our apartment - in one of the bags they found evidence that we were making fake id's, and the warrant was for evidence of those crimes.. they found some ketamine vials, and that added drugs to the list, they also had an excuse to now consider us armed and dangerous, and also had an excuse to call in the big boys with machine guns, flash gernades, a drug sniffing dog, and all that shit.. of course it was a crock of shit, the only reason they wanted in to the apartment was to hunt for evidence of counterfeiting US currency, hence the dog that was actually trained to sniff various types of cotten-fiber paper (I believe that was it) ..
As for your bank account - I seriously doubt yer making enough to alert them.. the bank doesn't have any responsibility untilyou get $30,000 in the account - my roomie had about 10 bank accounts, each with $29,900 in them.. at $30,000 you get into IRS papers that explain where it's comming from.. I still wouldn't put dirty money in the bank, because the law can freeze all your assets - there are a number of online resources for banks outside the US, but that is a risk..

My friend, I've deposited much larger amounts than that many many times, both personally and in my business, and I have never ONCE been asked to fill out a form or answer any questions.
But I do agree with you that these guys are being way too paranoid.

They are not going to ask you at the time you deposit the money, but if you maintain an account with more then 30k, they have to do (yearly?) audits..

Which I do all the time, for years, in multiple accounts, and have never been audited (knocks on wood)
Banks have to do audits all the time to comply with FDIC regulations, but consumer information is anonymous and aggregated unless there is a WARRANT.
If you've had a warrant served on your bank for that information, you got serious problems anyway.
Not dissin' ya, I just wanted to tell you the facts from my experience.

yeah,PARANOIA is a bitch...some of you guys really need to relax a little...i guess there is a new "head commander" of the DEA in charge that wants to give people 5 PLUS YEARS for posting ANYTHING about drugs thru the net,and on another drug board people were freaking out about it!!i was stunned, as there is NO WAY they are going to hunt down average joes who post about their daily usage of drugs on the internet..
there are a shitload of people who advertise selling drugs via the net OPENLY..i wouldnt be that open with my practices,and MOST of them are still operating...
that "getting raided" BIZNESS is a big ?? in my mind..i just had a buddy raided a few weeks back for a few vials of steroids and some ketamine..he did NOT sell, he was just a personal user..i was fucking amazed to hear that he got his front door knocked down because of personal use!!he USED to sell about a year or so ago, but thats old news..
bottom line, dont keep anything in your house..
