I believe both opiates and cannabis decrease insulin sensitivity. Can combing both morphine and cannabis be enough to cause temporary low blood sugar? Sometimes when i take alot of morphine and smoke alot of weed i get symptoms like the shakes and a huge craving for sugar. In fact i just took morphine and smoked weed and now im cooking some taters because that burger i had did nothing for my carb cravings.

So yeah im just wondering can combining them be enough to cause low blood sugar?

This systematic review of 47 publications covering 37407 participants suggests that opioids may reduce blood glucose. Other papers I briefly skimmed suggest they can increase blood glucose, but I think the evidence supports a decrease in blood glucose. This paper confirms that opioids reduce blood insulin levels in a clinically relevant manner.

This 2013 paper suggests cannibas use doesn't increase insulin levels, while this one cites a 16% lower fasting insulin levels. On this topic, I can't say for sure.

Your symptoms in all-likelihood have nothing to do with glucose or insulin. Both cannibas and opioids give me a major sweet tooth, and when combined together can make me feel shaky-faint. This is probably what you are experiencing.
