Can cannabis lower sex drive?

hello, Is it possible for long term users of marijuana to have a decreased libido? I started smoking weed a year ago and it pretty much became an every day thing. 2-3 bowls a day and now i have a harder time keeping an erection hard. Could this be from all the weed? Are there any suggestions on what I can do to change this? I've stopped smoking weed sunday to hopefully return my libido back to normal. I'm 18 years old so this is a big concern for me.
 
That's funny man. I personally have mad sex drive so I never feel the dispersion effects of thc. But,

They do say the THC can both have upper and downer effects, lowered libido is mentioned i believe. So it could be possible but I doubt it. Do you also smoke cigs? I have noticed that when I smoke like 2pks a day I have problems keeping my erection sometimes.

Bottom line , I have smoked for much longer and have not noticed a decrease in my libido , weed makes me "hungry, horny, and happy is all i can say" - bone thugs..lol. When I am high all i want to do is fuck. Lay of the bud just cause it does dull the sword which is your brain, in certain ways. And your problem will probably work its self out, it is just a lack of arousal more than likely(you know a mental thing).

I heard it decreases testosterone levels in men which could explain why your not getting it up
 
Overall it doesn't lower my sex drive, but I'm not a fan of having sex while stoned. I just won't have the stamnia I usually have if I'm stoned. If I don't smoke before sex I'm a beast like usually (: but if I'm stoned she can do most of the work.
 
well for me it does, i have anxiety without blazing. So when i get stoned ill get too lazy and nervous to have sex with someone, but if she was just easy then who knows...
 
Weed affects everyone differently so i guess it depends on your body chemistry. I smoke every couple of weeks because it increases my anxiety if I do it daily while I have friends who can smoke all day and everyday and it seems normal to them lol. You should try cutting down like a bowl a day maybe? or smoke every other day? whatever youre comfortable with.

I think the study you're referring to was seriously flawed. The amount of pot you'd have to smoke is rediculous.

Another myth is that it reduces sperm count.
 
I thought the sperm count was not a myth, even though it wouldn't matter because you have so much sperm it would not be effected. Sex drive should be the same, especially when you are high you should be relatively horny.
 
oppiste for me and my girl , everytime we smoke together we end up having "relations" lol , infact i love sex after or wile stoned out my dome , i mean sex is great by itself but no iv never notice a deminisehed sex drive ever from weed, i HAVE noticed a deminised urge to fight with ppl wile high

iv been a heavey pot smoker for 5 years, and i do have low sperm count no lie but i dont want kids right now anyway il cross that bridge when it cums lol and i have few complaints from my partners

As above it always enhances the experience, sadly though i have to toke some weed to get intimate which sucks
 
Damn I can't believe all the people saying it makes them super horny, after i've had a smoke i'm content chillin playin some video games or some shit, it's just so much work and ain't that great high. (for me anyway)

Before i've had a smoke is a different story though, i'll nail that bitch through the wall.

I believe it was, the reason being because the no sane smoker smokes the amount needed to have a significant effect on your sperm count.
 
i think it also depends on level of smoke and personal preference

personally an orgasm while high is better
but, im kinda to lazy to have sexy, if stimulated i would still get horny, and then find energy to do it, but its not like some happy genital pill,
neither is viagra though:S not suposed to give you a born, just suposed to help you get one if you can't
 
Yes and No

For the first year or 2 of smoking pot occasionally when I was 13-14, it always made me super horny, but then that completely changed, and it stopped making me horny. towards the end of my occasional pot smoking career, about 12 years ago, it kinda killed my sex drive when I was high.
